The extension will get done, the important things to look for here is to make sure he doesn't have a player option for the 5th year and to check the % incentives for each level of All-NBA

He’s worth every penny imo, legit a top 15 level player already, and about to enter just his 4th season, which is around when stars take another big step forward.

Most players that end up getting the max are not worth it...2 guys on his own team this past year are examples of that (Hayward and Kemba)...but Tatum is definitely worthy.

He’s obviously worth it. There’s now question about it. Celtics are pretty much capped before this so this will be their core going forward.
