Since Bogdan isn't going to take a massive paycut to goto the Lakers there's no way they conceivably match salaries without KCP and since the Kings have no use for KCP a deal can't get done without a 3rd team taking on KCP on a new contract and sending the Kings something of equal value.

KCP can be re-routed to a 3rd team, and I'd venture a guess that there's at least a team or two out there it'd make sense for. Not sure KCP wants to go to the Kings anyways.

I just find it hard to believe that they could thread the needle where KCP gets enough to be happy moving away from a title contender, but not so much that another team balks paying that much for a mediocre backup (while also helping out the Lakers in the process).

You can’t offer more than we would match. So it will need to be a win win deal. The Kings are looking for a young player and picks. Originally according to Sam they were getting that from Milwaukee.

I trust Pelinka but honestly i'd keep KCP at this point given we've lost all our wing defenders (Green, Bradley and Rondo gone, that actually has me worried). We need to keep whatever defence we have on the wings around.

Absolutely would not do it for Kuzma, not for the wrong bogdanovic at least.

I think it's more could match than would. The problem with matching Bogdan is that it doesn't change the fact that the Kings really need to dump either him or Buddy and Buddy's previous season + attitude + new contract put his value at a career low.

No, it was Donte DiVincenzo and fluff. Definitely not nothing, but certainly not as great a package as you're implying.

Rondo is gone too

They’ll be great offensively though. Having watched the all offense cavs of recent years I think the Lakers great defense was a much better approach.

According to Amick before the Bucks blew it up with Jrue deal it was Dante a pick and fluff.

I’d rather let Bogdan walk Tbh

So...you're telling me you'd rather let Bogie walk for nothing than maybe be able to flip Kuzma at the deadline for an asset or two?

Yes. And Kuzma isn’t getting anyone any real “assets” outside of a 2nd round pick. I’m good

Kuzma isn't nothing, he contributes to the team in ways a second round pick can't.

Yeah, a second round pick is way off the mark. Kuzma can easily score 18-20 a game when he's not playing with LeBron and AD and I know that Luke Walton loves him. His defense also improved this past season.

That boat has sailed. KCP is a better defender and has done exceptionally well for us last year in Orlando. $13 million better than Bogdan’s $18.

Vet min guys to finish off the roster. Too bad DHoward panicked.
