There were 7 teams in the east alone worse than the Hornets last year and they add Gordon Hayward and Lamelo Ball for nothing and a year of development as an extremely young team, and people have them bottom 5

I dont get the BKN hype. Durant is coming after a serious injury. Irving has been a blackhole lately. Unless they land Harden i dont see them top5 in the East , let alone the league.

top5:
Lakers
Clippers
Celtics
Heat
Nuggets

worst5:
OKC
Knicks
Cavs
Pistons
Wolves

I would like you to be correct because I want the pick but I suspect in the west OKC is the worst team.

As a Pistons fan, I'd love to be in the bottom 5. Sadly, I just don't see it we are setting ourselves to once again be in no man's land.

Pistons haven't had a top 5 draft pick since Grant Hill in 1994. Pistons haven't been good enough to win a playoff game since 2008. They will almost certainly fall into that same spot once again this year as they win just enough games to draft 6th, 7th, or 8th.

Those Nets-Hottakes are crazy, imho.
All of those who think that the Nets are going to be even in the Top4 in the Eastern Conference assume that Durant will miraculously be as good as pre-achilles-tear. 39% of the NBA-players that had this injury didn't even play a single game after their injury! Only Wilkins was almost the same player as before, and he had the injury in his 9th season...so he had less wear and tear before the injury than Durant. And the Durant-situation is just one of a lot of worries you can have about the Nets (new coach, difficult personalities in the team, injury to Irving, ...)
MIL, MIA, BOS, TOR are better/more seasoned than Nets for sure + you could debate one or two other teams being better than the Nets in the east.

Worst: Pistons, Cavs, Thunder, Hornets, Wolves

I just don’t buy that D’Lo, KAT and a bunch of rookies/sophomores are gonna win games in the tough West. I think Rubio moves them in the right direction, but they’ll be like the Suns-lite of last season.

Best: Clippers, Heat, Celtics, Bucks, Nets

I actually think the Lakers will take a step back at the top of the season, but still strong contenders and favorites. If Durant is good to go, the Nets will atleast come out the gate strong. Also think Clippers/Kawhi are gonna have a chip on their shoulder, but I don’t know how they sustain if Kawhi does load management.

How's BKN been rated better than us with Durant coming back from achilles injury? 8-)

I like it tho, I hope we stay under the radar.
Good assessment:
