Which team is more likely to make the playoffs this year? Atlanta or Chicago?

Chicago overhauled their front office. Whatever you think of Donovan, he’s a clear upgrade over Boylen. Atlanta decided to go all in on vets to bring the young guys along. Which team has the best shot at making the playoffs this year?

Um brother I love ya, but this isn't even remotely close to a fair comparison. Bulls will be lucky to win 25 games. The east and west BOTH got a lot better/deeper this summer.

Atlanta easily imo (sure I'm not alone).
They're stacked with young talent and have added some win now vets. They can be anywhere from 5th to 8th seed. I'd be surprised if Bulls can even make the Playoffs because they really don't have any meaningful vets.

I’m obviously in the minority but I’m not a fan of what Atlanta did, especially adding rondo. I think rushing a rebuild is a recipe for disaster. I think getting rid of Boylen and if OPJ stays healthy the bulls will be better.

The vets are Gallo, Rondo and Bogdanovic. Very laid back, team first guys mostly. No issues IMO.

Atlanta I expect to finish 6-7, while Chicago I don't see ending up higher than 10th honestly.

chi doesnt have good team irregardless of coaching n Donovan is medicore coach, cp3 had more to do with okc continuing to win post pg/russ trade

i don't believe chi should be in playoff conversations at all, their core just doesnt win, new coach isn't gona change much of that, Donovan is medicore coach to me, his success was more of okc having good talent

ATL would be the smart bet between the two. They’ve added some good players this offseason.
CHI essentially have the same team minus Dunn and Shaq Harrison, plus PWill who is a project, but at least have a better coach in Donovan.

I voted for the Hawks and I'm a Bulls fan. Best case for the Bulls imo would be competing for the 7-10 mid-season tournament.

Chicago will be awful. Their best player isn’t even close to an All Star and several of their top players are constantly injured. Their player development seems non-existent as none of their rookies since Butler have progressed at all.

The Bulls didn't add anyone of significance to their roster. They're still in rebuilding mode. I expect their roster will get a massive shakeup over the next year.

This poll is going to be a landslide. Having said that, I think people are severely underestimating just how bad Boylen was. Ultimately, our guys have to get better both as individuals and as a team. I think then new coaching staff will at least be able to help with the second part.
So with that said, I think the easy answer here is to go with ATL. But don’t be surprised if this is still a conversation as we head into the middle of next season. I think it’s more plausible than people think. Getting rid of Boylen in favor of Donovan equates to a significant FA acquisition just in itself. You can’t be told about how bad Boylen was. You’d have had to have experienced it. No F’n joke!

I don't see how a healthy Hawks team finishes lower in the standings than the Bulls, I voted Atlanta.

The Bulls simply don't have the talent.
