i was a little kid at the time. everyone loved the gp and kemp duo. they were the "coolest" guys in the game.
remember lj coming in the with grandmama. i think peak for peak, LJ was probably a better player than Kemp.
curious to hear what the older heads have to say about this.

I don't think so. Shawn Kemp was a bit better than Johnson even before the injuries. I think a modern day comparison would be whether or not you would prefer a Chris Paul & Blake Griffin duo or a Chris Paul & Antawn Jamison (with a bit more athleticism) duo. I think most would go with the first one.
