Chip or Ship - What's Short For Championship?

One of my biggest pet peeves is people that say SHIP instead of chip. This isn't a Yaht or a boat, it's a CHIP, you spell it like you pronounce it, right?

How you do spell it?

Once we reach a consensus here, mods should add a word filter to block incorrect shortening of the phrase.

Well it's short for "championship" and to my ears it actually has more sense than "chip".

Locking this thread because it's utterly ridiculous.
