I love KP, but this isnt a debate this year. I do need to see Randle do this 2 years, or like 1.5 years, in a row to believe this is truly the caliber of player he is though.

KP isnt a great 2nd option as someone above said. He is an elite 3rd option. Dallas needs to find that #2 and with KP being paid like a #1 its going to be hard. But if he can accept a 3rd option role (Debatable with his personality), and Dallas can find a true #2, that team can win a chip sooner than later.

This is not a debate anymore. Randle is better than KP in most aspects of the game.
Randle is a better ball handler, 3 point shooter, interior post game, passing, drawing fouls, durability, toughness, mid range efficiency and rebounder. He is also on a much cheaper contract than KP. He is the focal point. Teams are game planning how to defend him.

KP stands behind the 3 point line waiting for Doncic to pass him the ball most of the time. His impact is limited.

KP is shawn bradley with a jumper. there will always be use for him if he's healthy and i'm not shocked that cuban was enamored with him lol
the only thing he does considerably better than randle is block shots. randle more or less closed the gap re: shooting this season. plus he can actually play a full season and thibs minutes. KP's career would be over already

Randle haters here are saying if you play anyone 40 minutes a night they will put up MVP type numbers. What?

He had too much crap going on outside the court. Like drama with the front office, rape cases, and bar fights overseas. He wasn't made for NY.

For the Knicks, Randle is better. I'm not saying Randle is better than KP overall. But I think it would vary with the roster they play with.

There's just no way anybody could tell me KP could be the engine of this Knicks team like Randle is doing lmao

People are spewing crap like "yeah, but Randle gets to play 40 minutes a game". Exactly, KP can't play those minutes. We tried, and it just wasn't working. He can't be the engine of a team.

Always thought MJ and LBJ had things easy by playing 40 minutes a game.

Yes .
Never liked Porzingis ever since he came to Dallas.
He needs to go to a team that has a coach that can maximize his impact. Like Thib did w Randle.

As a resident of both islands, it's obvious this year how much better Randle has been.

Randle is probably going to be All NBA this year. And he earned it.

At this point not much of a debate. Randle is better at everything and he's durable.

Very good point. KP could barely play 30 minutes.

Not fair to use 36 per states. Big advantage for KP. He's never been capable of playing those minutes.

I think this debate is over for now. Randle is the leader of his squad and currently the better player.

I don't know man...

What I see here is stats of a player that’s played a full season looking better than that of one that’s played half of it.

also note he used per 36 stats to try to make it more presentable when dude can't play 36 minutes a night because he needs to be load managed

also Re: "Randle's assists inflated by his usage rate" Randle is 25th in usage rate which is lower than a lot of players he's performed better than, and KP is 35th. KP usage rate isn't even that far off from randle and he still doesn't get assists, either because he's a selfish black hole or because he doesn't have the talent to make a pass or both, probably both

How inflated do you think KP's stats are, considering he's playing with Luka?

And yes, i expect the Knicks to be again a bottom 4 team in the east.

Randle needs to prove that he can play great within a winning system. There is a reason why the Mavs had never any interest in him, even with him being from Dallas

This post aged well. I look forward to your horrible takes just to bump them.

Yeah.. and KP had none before he played with a bonafide number 1 option himself. Randle is close to leading the Knicks to the playoffs for the first time in awhile.. something porzingis never did for us

KP played great against the Clippers, even injuried. Randle spent his career on bum teams and is "leading" his team now with a sub 0.500 record maybe into the playoffs simply because the EC is trash.

Your take was premature garbage. Randle didnt prove anything in his entire career so far. Specially not if he could be a nr. 2

Another garbage take that aged well. Love bumping your horrible posts. Never gets old.

You do realize Porzingis was like 4 years younger than Randle now is when he played for the Knicks?

The only guy that's gonna carry a team to the playoffs single handedly at that age is on our team btw so we're good anyway thanks.

Love bumping your garbage takes. Keep it up!
