no, for the last time, you can lift your pivot to pass or shoot

Not on that play, but the and-1 just now for the score 47-44 was a clear travel lol

Yes, if I did that at my YMCA, they are taking the ball the other way

I think Kobe popularized that travel.

This is a travel. It's additional step after you have set your pivot. Plain and simple. But NBA has made this move legal.

Good god dude, just because not everyone uses it, doesn't make it illegal.

It means that many players think it's illegal. This has been proven, and should have been obvious all along to anyone with common sense.

Nobody travels more than Giannis. Giannis wouldn't score a FG if they called all of his travels. That said, Embiid got away 2 obvious ones in the 1st half

Giannis has statistically been called for the most travels in the nba 3 years running.

Still likely only 25% of his actual travels.

That used to be called a travel in the Nba but not anymore. I try that at one of my pick up game and got call for a travel. It's weird because I've seen Nba refs called it before, but not as much anymore.

I'm surprise Nba cats are not exploiting the crap out of it, its legit unguardable, if you combine it with the fadeaway.

Definitely a travel by the books but it's not as bad as what guys like Kawhi get away with all game long so what can you do.

Not a travel, if you reverse it and fadeaway, you have the dirk one legged fadeaway. People upset because it the motion is toward the basket.

Looked to me like he travelled at the very start of it. Not talking about the shot. Or it's almost like a they gave him a delayed step...if you know what I mean.

Absolutely not a travel.

You can lift your pivot foot on a drive to the basket... it’s only a travel if your pivot foot returns to the ground with the ball still in your hands.

This is funny because by the book it’s not a travel but it looks like one in real life.
