Canada Spain both got good squads to. Probably other countries in forgetting.

If Kyrie was willing to play for Australia he might actually be able to lead his team to a medal as the #1 guy

Weird I never knew Thybulle was Australian. Unfortunately:
Delly and Baynes have lost a step
Simmons lack of shooting is a bigger issue in FIBA rules and officiating style.
Exum - didn't he tear his ACL very recently?
Ingles is still good
Mills is fine and solid
Josh Green is exciting but still young

Still a good team but bronze is no handout these days.

What about Jonah Bolden? I thought he was good for the Sixers in his time there.

Thought this was going to be a team of 60+ year old men at first.

In my opinion they did not include Jonah Bolden, because they rather have bigs that can shoot to surround

Thybulle is a nice addition, as he provides that much needed 3 + D and has chemistry already with ben simmons.

We really choked last time and should have gotten silver and then ended up 4th. Was unfortunate for Australia and there for the rest of the world.

The rumour regarding Bolden was that he left the World's Boomers Camp as he was unhappy with his role. That would be a big factor in future selection, as the senior players (Mills/Ingles/Delly/Bogut when he was playing) have all built a culture of " We all do whatever the team needs".
Can't see him ever wearing the Green and Gold again unless he apologises and comes back humble.

Great core group...ensuring Simmons is committed is a big thing, BUT, his role will be slightly different to his role at 76er's I think.

Boomer Patty needs to be focus of a large number of offensive sets when he's on the court.

Mills/Ingles/Simmons/Baynes/Thybulle/Landale/Delly/Broekhoff would be the core for me, with Exum if fit(unlikely),with the final players being out of Green/Kay/Goulding/Motum/Magnay for the 12 man squad. Magnay may get a run, as we are light on shotblocking bigs.

Watch out for this team for the next olympics at Paris. Josh Giddey + Ben Simmons should be ready, Australia is full of shooters and fits Josh Giddey, Ben Simmons and patty mills playmaking. Defensively can't go wrong with Thybulle and Ben Simmons. Josh Green is playing a big role off the bench for Mavs and should do so for boomers as well. 2022 NBA draft you also have Dyson Daniels in the mix as a late lottery. Not to mention Patty Mills is a different beast when he plays for Australia. Should also see some vets like Joe Ingles providing some leadership. It's a serious squad.

Guard depth will be very good, and we also have PG Tyrese Proctor, who's been heavily recuitred for Div 1 College next season.

Our biggest issue moving forward is our lack of an excellent big man. Outside of Landale and Duop Reath, there's not much else in the cupboard. Isaac Humphries, Froling are possibilities, but neither give a defensive presence. Not sure on Jo Lual-Acuil Jr's availability to play for Australia, but he would certainly look to be our next best option after Landale.

Xavier Cooks and Mitch Creek should feature too. Both having outstanding NBL seasons and can play the international 4 spot easily

Ingles/Baynes/Delly will be too old, Baynes is still struggling to play after his neck injury

Would watch out for Tyrese Proctor and Dyson Daniels who both will probably make it to the NBA

Baynes is recovering from like a near death experience. He's probably never playing again.
