Cam Reddish is terrible...

And he's costing the Hawks a lot of games. That's all.
Looking forward to Hawks fan telling me how he's not and rationalize it based on his 'superstar potential on both ends'.

Wait till next Wednesday before you talk. He’s got another shot against you guys! He’s inconsistent yes but his ceiling is higher than Luka.

He strikes me as Wiggins-esque so far... Able to make incremental imprints on the game due to his size and athleticism on both ends, but ultimately, his shot, vision and IQ is so bad that he ends up mucking up more possessions than not.
I gave him a pass last year due to how all over the place the Hawks roster was, but this year he's playing with one of the best frontcourts in the league (Capella, Collins, Gallo, Hunter have all played great) and Trae is obviously elite offensively and they even improved their bench... Yet Reddish is still as bad as he was last year.
The Hawks might have to make a decision soon because there's a lot of cooks in the kitchen rn and Reddish needs A LOT of time, focus and opportunity to develop on offense... They might be forced to choose between gambling on his potential moving forward or trying to compete around Trae/JC and vets... Right now they're trying to do both and the results are stuck in the middle.

He's terrible but he has great size, i thought he was a good defender until I saw him beat off the dribble by porzingis

When Cam Reddish averages 18-22 ppg on good shooting percentages and becomes an elite defender, let's compare him to Wiggins.
Until then, best to stick with someone like Timothé Luwawu-Cabarrot.

The good news is at some point they will have Hunter, Huerter, Bog and Dunn’s defense to take all the wing minutes.
The bad news is that coach Pierce seems to have an infatuation in playing Reddish big minutes so that might not change anything.

What’s funny is that Reddish reminds me of a late ‘90s/early ‘00s bust.
When teams would draft athletic wings with tons of upside that couldn’t play.

Stop acting like the dude was seen as Mo Bamba or something coming into the draft...
He was one of the most touted players of his class in college and unlike Bamba who was drafted in a situation where he has to compete for his minutes/role against the likes of Vuc and Isaac (whenever he was healthy), Reddish was given a far bigger role and more freedom from the Hawks since day 1 and has little to show from it...
The problem is, the Hawks are clearly looking to compete, as they have indicated by signing Capela, Bogdan, Gallo, Rondo and Dunn... So this means Reddish will have lesser margins for error and less resources to develop...
They need to decide whether they want to maximize their ability to win games or are they in the market of developing their young talent... Doing both at the same time will yield mediocre results in both areas.

He wasn’t good his one year at Duke, either.
All of the athletic measurables in the world don’t automatically make one good or even decent at basketball at the highest levels.

DerMarr Johnson should've been a good player, but he had horrible basketball IQ. The car accident seemed to mess him up a bit too.
I think Reddish is having a lot of the same issues that R.J. Barrett had. They both did good things away from the ball but have issues scoring efficiently and shooting. I never seen the superstar potential in Reddish, even before he was drafted, but he should be able to become an effective role-player at some point.
