Yes, beating the Simmons, reddick, butler, Harris, embiid sixers in the conference semis, beating the brogdon, Middleton, giannis, Lopez bucks in the ecf and then beating the warriors where klay missed a game and a quarter is lucking into a championship.

If that’s your criteria for lucking into a championship then the 2015 warriors were lotto max winners.

The biggest sign of a fluke is a team unable to even defend their championship. Raptors werent good enough to even return to the finals the very next year.

If you cant "defend your title" you probably didnt deserve it in the first place, or won it because of favorable circumstances which they did.

Or, you know, losing your best player over the off-season...

He forgot about that one. Didn’t fit his narrative.

Raps were a possession away from making the ecf last year without Kawhi. If they had Kawhi they make the finals easy and give the lakers a much harder series than the heat do.

I knew their title was a fluke but I still expected him to at least be a reserve or something.

lol so im not even gonna bother going far, just the past decade: Spurs 2014 , Lakers 2010, Mavs 2011 all flukes by your definition. 33% champs all flukes.
This gotta be one of the dumbest post ever lol

Raptors finished 2nd in the East and went to game 7 of the 2nd round.

Yeah when you finish on pace for 60 wins are minutes away from reaching the conference finals, you are not a fluke team, you are a contender.

Preech!

even has 10 more steals than him too!

He probably is an actual foot shorter than Simmons who was the #1 pick the year Fred got passed over at least twice by every team and went undrafted and battled his way onto the roster.

Simmons was All Defense last year and I hear a lot of NBA podcasters and NBA writes call Simmons a great defender.....

Not too shabby for an UNDRAFTED kid out of Rockford who got lowly Wichita State in the the Final 4 and a Sweet 16.

He should be the feel good story of the ASG.

That’s because he’s played more games??

They’re averaging the same steals and Simmons has slightly more blocks on a per game average. Come on, using “total” when they haven’t played an equal amount of games is silly.

It's clearly a comment about reputation and height. Fred shouldn't be anywhere near this "best defender in the game." 4 blocks last night. Give Fred Embiid sitting behind him and he'll look even better.

He's a troll. No need to respond to him.
