Who is the 'Best stretch 5' in today's NBA?
1) KAT
2) KP
3) Jokic
4) Embiid
5) Vucevic
6) Brook Lopez
7) Someone else in comment section
---
Personally think it's KP. Dude can launch bombs from the logo spot. But his health and inconsistency let's him down.

If "best stretch 5" means the best three point shooting center, then the answer is Vucevic.
The combination of his numbers of mades and percentages are so good.

Why not just ask who's the best shooting center?
Putting Embiid and Jokic on a list with Brook Lopez and asking who's the best stretch 5 comes off weird

Vucevic.
But once KAT is 100%, it will be KAT.

Kat is hitting them off the dribble hand in his face like he’s harden prior to COVID. I don’t think he’s the best player, but he’s definitely a better shooter than everyone else on this list
Vuc is making the most jumpers of all these guys although he’sa lot more stationary.

Joker and Embiid should not be there as they are too valuable to be called a stretch 5.
Porzingis is an ungradable stretch 5 when he is healthy and in rhythm.

Vuc and KAT are the best 3pt shooting C's, imo.

It's 2021, after all.

What a yucky question.
If you stick "stretch" by your title, you should be required to forfeit "center", since you aren't playing anywhere near it, you big wuss.

Yes, agree. Joker is that one-of-a-kind point center and Embiid does most of his work attacking the basket. Both can shoot three’s but it is not even close to their skills focus.
I have to give this to a healthy KAT.

If KP can stay healthy it’s him.

KAT is incredible. Does Porzingis play the 5? I thought it was mostly Kleber and Powell.
Also Chris Boucher is having a hell of a year on decent volume. He mostly plays the 5 with some occasional stretches at the 4. Also easily the toughest stretch big in the league.

I don't think KAT, Jokic, Embiid, or Vucevic belong on this list. Those guys are superstars, not role players. "Stretch five" implies a big man whose job on offense is to stand in the corner and shoot threes.
Lauri Markkanen, JaMychal Green, Al Horford, KP, Mike Muscala, Myles Turner, Chris Boucher; these are stretch fives, bigs whose role is stretching the floor for the rest of the team.
Markkanen, Horford, and Muscala are among the best ones, just looking at shooting stats.

Stretch 5 to me implies a limited player who specializes in shooting 3's. So Embiid, Vuc, Jokic, KAT aren't options. They are simply too skilled and do too many other things.
You are looking more at guys like BroLo(who only shot well one year so its not him), KP, Turner(though having a bad shooting season), Horford, LMA.
Pretty underwhelming group really.

And this is why you should read every response before posting lol. Ignore my post and just go with this one. Though I would quibble and say many of these guys are PF's and if we are including those, we need my man Maxi Kleber on it.
