Also mentioned that LeBron might be out several weeks. The bigger fear is that he might try and come too early, which is understandable given his age, but also Bron's competitive nature.

Philly should be able to get this deal if they want it. They have more assets. No way that Miami gives up Herro for a potential 2 months rental.

No way the Celtics give up Smart.

Is Evan Fournier going to become the next player that the Ainge almost traded for? Might be a good fit, although they still need a center, "cough" Myles Turner "cough"

Hope that Drummond trade actually happens. I can’t keep watching the Mavs get bullied on the glass much longer... and the PG should never be the teams best rebounder

wtf are Houston doing looking at Gordon for picks? They should be dangling whatever they have left to acquire picks.

Cavs can be patient with Drummond imo, let him opt out in the summer and sign and trade him to somewhere that works for him.

I wonder if the Raptors would be interested in giving up Lowry in a 3 way trade that lands them Lonzo.

I just want LaMarcus Aldridge on the buyout market. Release Silva, replace him with LMA. Forget trading for Lowry. Just improve the power rotation. That's all...

I like that trade. I imagine (hope) Cleveland would want to flip the regional manager and Danny Green elsewhere if they could too.

But they just give up all of their other assets lol? Multiple first round picks, some unprotected. And Tyrese Maxey? This is getting to the James Harden level without Ben SImmons. Lowry is a rental.

There's nothing to opt into. It would have to be a S&T using his Bird Rights with the Cavs looking to take back less than full salary in return. If he's still on the roster after the deadline, I expect his agent to line up a new deal with the Knicks and approach the Cavs about a buyout.

Oh I thought he had a player option this summer. Confusing him with someone else I guess.

and old, that's the main problem. Do people really think that miami is willing to give a player like herro and draft capital for lowry?

it's not gonna be enough to beat a healthy nets team and you have to extend him next season. I can see the sixers giving their 2021 first and maxey.

Drummond is a good rebounder the way DeAndre was a good rebounder. His teams never rebound better when he's on the court than off. What he would do defensively is simply make Luka wait longer to get the ball slowing transition. Not particularly additive.

Now on the offensive end he would definitely help get them some more possessions with his offensive rebounding.

But that's not enough to offset the disaster of trying to play Drummond and KP together defensively. That just doesn't remotely work and what's the point of trading for him to be WCS' replacement? He's not going to be happy with that role going into FA so he's not going to give max effort.

No, Dallas should stay far away from this one.

How can you be sure? Drummond has never had good teammates or been on a good team. Dallas has both plus a supposed good coach.

If all it costs is Johnson + Powell + 2nds, where even is the risk?

Lonzo to the Hawks looks weird to me. Wonder how they will pay him.

Cleveland isn't taking back Powell.

Here is the only construction that works for both teams: Johnson+WCS+Boban with WCS probably siphoned off to a 3rd team. Dallas probably has to add a single 2nd so Cleveland can tell their fans they got something.

If Dallas could turn Powell and 2nds into any expiring contract that's a win, but then that's not a Drummond trade. That's a dump Dwight Powell trade because that is the primary benefit. But Cleveland isn't adding another bad contract on top of Love's bad contract without a real incentive and Dallas should not provide it.

Man I hope either the Mavs or Knicks just step up and trade for Drummond. I don't think the asking price will be high (although the salary matching will obviously be the difficult part). After watching Griffin play last night it would just be unfair if Drummond also ends up in Brooklyn. Even if it's just a temporary patch Drummond would greatly help with the rebounding in Dallas too.

They have a lot of picks already and are probably trying to get any kind of value for Dipo since it appears that no team is willing to offer a late FRP for him.

Lowry on the Heat would be just the shot on the arm they need. His mentality would mesh beautifully with Jimmy / Bam and overall Heat mantra. They wouldn't be the most talented squad but they'd arguably be the most competitive...
