It seems that the NBA archives have a lot of early 1960s Knicks coaching tapes. This one comes from 1961/62 season and I'm almost sure that they have full game.
Elgin scored 34 points in this game and showed some excellent moves around the basket. You were special Elgin, RIP!

When I watch Elgin, I see bigger, more raw version of Bryant. He had all the moves you could imagine - up and unders, eurosteps, floaters, post moves, fadeaways, stepbacks... There was nothing he couldn't do and on top of that he was a fantastic passer as well.

Are they serious...? They have full game of prime Elgin and they give us 30 seconds of action...?

Footwork looking smooth as hell, probably way ahead of its time. Even does an almost-eurostep at 00:30.

Yeah, Elgin was one of the few guys that could pull off a crossover without getting called for carrying back then. He was a special player.

Wow a eurostep at 0:30! Is he the first?

I've seen Cliff Hagan doing it in 1958 finals, before Baylor came into the league. Baylor used subtle eurostep quite often, it wasn't something unseen back then.

I was there. First NBA game I ever attended. People forget that Willie Naulls scored 47 in that game for the Knicks.
