I am rooting for the Goon Squad. Against LeBron and Bugs Bunny.

I don't think the odds of winning are very high. But as a Knicks fan, I am used to getting disappointed.

I only hope it's not a rigged game/movie.

His acting looks bad, but it'll be fine for a kids movie. Better than jordans tho. It's gonna be a nostalgia driven movie for the adults anyways.

I like the idea of the toons being rejects/irrelevant.

Don't feel great about the monstars and the final showdown from the trailer.

I assume he'll have to save the monstars too.

Cyber Villain may view Bron as the final piece for his own super team.

Movie releases after game 4 of the Finals, btw.

People criticizing Bron's acting should must not remember Jordan in the original Space Jam...

Looks like a decent film. The original Space Jam felt like a fever dream just because of the sheer strangeness. I'd say this movie, while definitely bigger in scale (and plot-wise), seems a bit more grounded.

Also, wouldn't be surprised if LeBron won an Oscar. Based on the trailer, his performance already looks top-notch.

I mean, it's not even that surprising. Just look at all the criticisms of LeBron's basketball that rely on actual amnesia of Jordan's playing days. It would be weird if they didn't think Jordan was DiCaprio in Space Jam.


You can tell who desperately wants the movie to fail by their posts in this thread. The movie looks great for what it's supposed to be and that just kills some of them.

Damian Lillard is a the last guy Goon Squad member in the trailer. One of them also looks like Klay Thompson. I’m assuming the rest are Draymond, Anthony Davis and Ben Simmons.

Looks good to me. But also what I expected.

Poor acting by athletes in movies is sort of part of the charm/corniness of the movie.
