Luka = Mbappe, Zion = Haaland

Luka is Mbappe, both in relatively large markets, with success already. Luka's success is individual, while Mbappe has both individual success and team success (World Cup win), however there is no doubt that both players are the face of the sport for the next 10 years at least.
Zion is Haaland, both guys are physically dominant, but have not had much team success yet. Another commonality is that both guys may not end up staying for their clubs for their whole career. Dortmund is a small club and Haaland will likely join Madrid, while Zion may follow in AD's footsteps to leave New Orleans.
In either case, all 4 players are young talented phenoms.

i would say Ronaldo/Messi were better comps as a younger duo coming up

Watching Zion last night really did remind me of a young Barkley with better handles but less rebounding.

Zion is not that good. He can put up stats and the refs will give him free throws, but I don't think he's going to be a winning player.

This. I like the Zion = Haaland comp, but not sure about Luka = Mbappe. Struggling to think of a good comp though right now, probably some AM/CM technical master.

I mean I get that the comparison is not necessarily how they play, but who they are in the sport as a whole. And its an obvious comparison, Haaland and Mbappe are ridiculously good and young, and so are Luka and Zion, but intersports comparisons are always flawed.

Yeah, I was just joking. Luka can be flashy, but he is not Ronaldinho. If Jason white Chocolate Williams was best basketball player in the world, thats who basketball Ronaldinho would be.
