Biggest ego-to-talent ratios in NBA history?
In league history, who are the guys who are far cockier than their talent would justify?
To be clear, anyone who is a top 100 player of all time should be considered too talented to qualify.
Weak example: Monta "have it all" Ellis (huge ego but also very talented)
Average example: Nick Young (bench player with the ego of a cocky all-star)
Strong example: Mario Hezonja (possibly the GOAT of the category)
Who else you got?

Low level scorers would fit this situation. But that’s easy because that role requires spotlight and a lack of results make that spotlight worse. Spotlight being those scoring skill sets of isolations and off the dribble moves.
I wanna see the known scorers who are mentioned.

Ricky 'I thought they brought LeBron in to give me the ball' Davis. Isaiah Thomas(the newer one just to clear up any confusion). Paul Pierce even though he's probably a top 50 player of all time(the whole 2 minutes where whoever it was read off all of Wade's accomplishments and compared them to Pierce while he just sits there and says nothing is some of the greatest reality tv comedy of all time). There were a lot of guys in that 1995-2010 era who belong in a thread like this.

I immediately thought of the "They Scared Now" Knicks. Marbury and Curry in particular

Mario Hezonja was definitely the first name that came to mind. Nice hair though.

Austin Rivers?
He's matured a lot but he had this strange Kobe complex coming into the league.
Probably his father's doing more than anything.

Definitely.
If we get enough input on this thread I'll make another thread with a poll at some point, maybe he can officially be crowned.

The first name that came to my mind was Marbury but since he was an Allstar he might not qualify.
Pre-draft Hezonja is a very good pick for claiming he was the best player in the 2015 Draft lol. After joining the NBA I don't know if he came down to earth or if he still thought he was the greatest.

Steve Francis gotta be up there.

Jay Williams was super arrogant during his bad rookie season. But it's a tiny sample.
