Guarantee that Wade will be highly visible

This makes me wonder if he was offered financing with generous conditions so he can buy say 10%? NBA is a safe investment.

Utah basketball is good without Wade, (high school through pros). Dude is totally welcome playing ball with the Jazz as a partial owner. I'm shocked but this is good. He will totally be hanging in the locker room a bit now as an owner. Jazz are unnaturally shizz upon casual fans - it is an evolving organization and just because its the "City of Utah" doesn't mean they don't have the legit DNA to build a contender again. Witness this year.

Really odd then. The Jazz seemed like such a random pick too. I assumed that it just happened to have a small stake available and other teams didn't. You would think a stake of the Heat would be more appealing than the Jazz too money wise. Weird.

this absolutely makes 0 sense. thats like mj wanting to buy hornets instead of bulls.
wade needs a explanation something sounds fishy.

I can't tell if this is sarcastic or not. Why would MJ want to buy the Hornets? Maybe it's because he's from North Carolina.

Why does Wade want to buy a share of the Jazz? What's the explanation...oh, it's said explicitly in the article. He's friends with the current Jazz owner. He's interested in entering the tech world which is booming in UTA and is where the new ownership comes from. He has shares values that are being pushed by the owner/organization. He visits Utah for vacation and it's a short flight from his home in LA. And just to be clear, yeah, your dollar goes further when you're buying stake in the Jazz than it goes buying stake in the Heat. That's why there's a tech boom here in the first place.

But yeah, he's doing so he can trade Mitchell to MIA for Igoudala

You do realize MJ wanted to be a minority stake holder of the Bulls before Hornets right?
im not trying to talk down those small market teams but for Wade, utah has absolute 0 connection unless he wants to party all day with multiple wives mormon crap. And he is treated like MJ in Miami so its beyond crazy unless Jazz offered for free or half the price.
He def needs to address what happened instead of hiding behind the scenes.

I am an auditor so these types of financial moves are very concerning. would love to inspect both jazz and wade because as a human being, wade has 0 reason to select jazz over miami. Usually, these types end up some sort of fraud like Maddoff.
the other guy posted conflict of interest which is exactly what you learn in accounting industry. he knows what hes talking abt.

Karl Malone is my 2nd favorite player in NBA history, so good to see Wade aligning himself with such a legendary franchise.

How is that a “connection”?

And he is treated like MJ in Miami so its beyond crazy unless Jazz offered for free or half the price.

Well the Jazz organisation is probably worth less than the Miami one so the price would be less naturally. I would expect an ‘auditor’ to understand those basics.

He def needs to address what happened instead of hiding behind the scenes.

He bought a stake in a company. I’m unsure what needs addressing. It’s a basketball company and he is familiar with basketball. Seems like a good fit.

I am an auditor

You might be an auditor for the scientologists, but there is no way you are in any capacity a financial auditor.

so these types of financial moves are very concerning.

Concerning to whom? Your emotional state or some actual law?

would love to inspect both jazz and wade

Of course you would because you’re a deranged fanboy or fangirl, not because you have any legal or financial knowledge.

because as a human being, wade has 0 reason to select jazz over miami.

He’s friends with the owner. The Jazz have more growth potential than Miami. If it were stock the Jazz would be a growth stock that Wade can hope to improve, while Miami is already an expensive premium stock, which is always harder to grow.

Usually, these types end up some sort of fraud like Maddoff.

Hundreds of business deals happen every day. Stocks are traded every day. Actual Madoff situations are rare. Usually deals work out as documented or the system collapses.

And if you really were an auditor you would be vetting businesses every day. If ‘these types’ usually end in fraud you are really bad at your fictional job.

the other guy posted conflict of interest which is exactly what you learn in accounting industry. he knows what hes talking abt.

No he doesn’t and nor do you. Neither of you have managed to cite any financial interest that Wade has in the Miami organisation. Wade got paid by three teams as a contractor. Why weren’t you whining about this imaginary ‘conflict’ then?

He is no longer paid by the Miami organisation. The profitability of that organisation does not affect him in any way. He has no financial interest there. So what conflict are you and your uninformed mate seeing?

Jerry Sloan played for the Bulls then coached the Jazz. Was that this dramatic conflict? Jordan played for the Bulls and now owns the Hornets. Teams have no control or rights over players once their contracts end, and they are allowed do everything a regular multi millionaire can do.
