Randle becoming a superstar?

Absolutely crazy how much work he put this off season. His ability to shoot from the post & the three at a 40% clip, play his bully ball, facilitate, play defense, and most of all lead the Knicks. Truly inspiring stuff, especially the words he said about Kobe and how much he learned from him and being teammates.

Is he becoming a top 15 player?

Nah, I can't see him ever being a superstar. Superstar players don't usually have seasons like the one Randle had last year. I think he is one of those guys that can be in the 15-30 range when in a good situation with players and a system that suit his strengths. However if the situation is not ideal he could drop way down the rankings. Superstar players are usually good irregardless of situation.

I liked what I saw when he was in New Orleans and he's just gotten better, I think if the Knicks stay in the top 8 year to year he will continue to get All Star bench spots, but he'd only be a low tier 'superstar' at best.

Zach Randolph 2.0

From cancer, chucker, and bad defender to somehow ending up the Knicks and becoming the polar opposite. I hope the Knicks don’t trade away Randle how they did with ZBO. Randle will be an allstar for years to come, and he’s going to change the culture in New York hopefully. I’m happy for Knicks fans.

Come on, don't ask for hate on your boy from the General Board after he posts one of his best National TV games in a great season for him.

He's playing excellent and proving he deserved his All Star nod. I was super high on him out of the draft so I'm finally feeling a little vindicated. And hey, if he leads them to a 1st round win (very, very possible) and plays like this, he'll start to garner some serious clout. But superstar? Nah dude. He's approaching All-NBA 3rd team level though, which is nuts for him considering his career trajectory to this point. Should be super happy as a Knicks fan.

If we're being reasonable he's playing at a fringe all NBA level this year. I think he has a good argument for 3rd team if he keeps it up.

randle was never a "cancer", wtf :-?

he's always been liked by his teammates and fanbases, there's lakers fans to this day that support randle.

To me he's become a very legit all-star, maybe even an all-nba level player this year. This is the ideal situation for him. He can defend and he's pretty solid on offense. And he's got the right attitude

Ive never heard anyone call Randle a cancer. Where are you getting this from?

Randle and Barrett are 2 of my 5 favorite players in the NBA.
I'll have to play as the Knicks in NBA2k22 when it comes out.

Curry was a pretty late bloomer, partly due to injury, partly due to a stacked West, and even he was an all star by 25.

It’s more fun for me this way. Sure if it was KD or Harden etc that’s great.. but it’s expected from them.. no one really thought Randle was capable of putting up these types of numbers nightly tho. So it’s fun to wonder if he can sustain it over even reach another level
