Does this make sense? Sorry, this isn't to bash Dame. PP is a top 50 player ever and I think Dame is too. Dame is slumping right now but he averaged 30/8 on 63 TS% and he'll definitely hit a streak to end this year. But this feels accurate to me. I guess Kyrie is Melo here

I love this thread. I read lots of threads with terrible logic on here, but I at least understand what they're attempting to claim. This is much more fun as I'm trying to see the link but just can't, so I remain intrigued.

I don't know, but I'll tell you that Dame with Antoine Walker and Delonte West ain't making 2 trips to the ECF.

Let's wait and see Lillard score over 25k points at the very least before saying he's better than Pierce.

Nah. That's an insult to Dame.

Dame carried Portland to the playoffs last year with one of the most explosive offensive seasons ever and carried Portland this year without McCollum. He and Curry are close.

No, he and Curry aren't close. Curry is absolutely on another level.

They're "close" in terms of they are in the same era and one is a top 5-ish player and the other is top 10.

It doesn't really work that way. The big 3 worked because they complimented there games. In that particular finals Pierce was asked to be the primary ball handler (avg 6 assists), guard kobe for stretches (usually the 4th quarter), and lead the team in scoring (especially in the closing moments).

Dame could be a championship eseque player but maybe not in that era.

Also I think Dame is much closer to Curry than Paul is to MJ.

If MJ is the Goat and Pierce is in the range of 40-60 than Curry is 11-20 to dames 50-70

Curry has been the best player in the league multiple times. He's been the second best player of this decade.

Dame is very good, and the gap between them isn't massive, but it's definitely there.
