The goal is to create a roster to win at least one championship in the next three years. How would your roster look like? Who would be your starters? Role players/reserves?

Fox over Randle is not good. Just play Randle at SF. Man, who woulda thought anybody would be saying a thing like this a year ago.
And you probably want PJ Washington over Noel or smth.

At some point too many stars becomes a problem. Fox/Bam/SGA all seem like they'd be fine taking a step back as primary scorers for AD/Booker at this point in their careers. The starting lineup would be excellent defensively, has playmaking across the board, and can shoot for the most part. The bench is mostly guys who can fill a specific role or vets who can bring experience.

No Towns nor Randle!?

Randle at SF isn’t a very good idea either. He’s flourishing as a versatile big man, not a perimeter player. Murray is the guy who has an argument to play ahead of Fox.
Just because you have 4 all-star Quality bigs here doesn’t mean you try and play them all together. The Sixers tried that last year and could neither defend or score with these players playing out of position.

Don't need them. Bam/AD are better and I don't want either of those guys coming off the bench.

But Randle is playing point forward basically, is a better shooter than Fox, the wings suddenly don't lack the size, Bam and Davis can switch onto perimeter guys etc. They'd be the anti-smallball.

I'd start Shai at SF and play "small" over playing big. We have Davis and KAT (can even use Bam in place of KAT) to protect the rim/paint area. Shai has decent length and can defend wings.
And you have to have playoff Rondo on the team if you want to win a chip.

There’s a reason why nobody plays the Randle’s of the world at SF anymore. It makes the team slower, it can hurt spacing and penetration on offense with 3 bigs out there together. It slows the pace of play down. It makes the team infinitely slower on defense, especially transition defense and getting to shooters on the arc. While every one of these might not be issues here, most of them would be. And in this case, it’s not like there aren’t very good options to take those SF minutes.
There’s no such thing as anti-smallball lineups like this one anymore because it’s been proven doesn’t work.

I think teams don't play Randle's at SF because they don't have the personnel as good at this lineup would be. Zero offensive problems if Randle is shooting 42% from 3, if AD and Bam are both capable shooters too.
Defensively maybe they get tired because it's bigs switching on perimeter players all game, but I surely close the game with this lineup over a lineup with 3 combo guards.
I just don't see how anybody would play Fox who is a 32% 3pt shooter in 2021 when you have all these other options. Fox is a good floor raiser, but on a team like this, he limits the team's absurdly high ceiling.

Randle has the quickness, defensive versatility and outside shot to be able to play the 3 in some lineups. I would imagine he would finish the game on the court as the 3 and I'd probably start him or KAT over Bam to keep more shooting on the floor. Fox/Bam/AD are all below average shooters.

I will be starting three guards and two forwards
Guard: Jamal Murray
Guard: Devin Booker
Guard: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander
Forward: Karl-Anthony Towns
Forward: Anthony Davis
The seven reserves would be:
Bam Adebayo, Rajon Rondo, Tyler Herro, John Wall, Eric Bledsoe, Julius Randle & De'Aaron Fox
The salary is not gonna work out but it was fun putting a team like that out.

The reality of it is that SGA and Booker need to play a lot of 3 considering the talent in the guard positions.
Fox/Murray/ Wall OR Rondo
SGA/Herro/Murray
Booker/SGA/Washington
AD/Randle/Washington
Towns/Bam
That's the 12 man lineup. You could "go big"with Washington playing the 3, but Randle playing the 3 will be ugly af. You could get away with SGA and Booker playing 3 considering you have AD and Bam there. I'm starting Towns because AD can cover for him defensively and they make a ridiculously good balance starting 5. Fox gets the nod over Murray because Murray has more off the bench microwave potential and Fox will set the defensive tone with SGA and AD.

if I want to win today:
John Wall / DeAaron Fox / Eric Bledsoe
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander / Tyler Herro
Devin Booker / Keldon Johnson
Anthony Davis / PJ Washington / Jarred Vanderbilt
Karl-Anthony Towns / Bam Adebayo
RIP tclarke, would've been part of this list next year.
