lmao raps fans will say anything. How did the raptors "break" LeBron. The last time they played in the Playoffs, LeBronto was in full swing. Raps never beat LeBron in the Playoffs and will probably never beat him in the Playoffs. LeBronto will be a thing forever.

LeBron's Lakers have beaten the Raptors just once, in a season when we're tanking. He probably sent Ainge a gift basket after the Celtics knocked us out last year.

Funny people say this when ratings buck this trend, playoff games in the NFL get far better viewership because one game sends either team home. In the best of 7 series of the NBA it seems outside of hardcore NBA fans and fans of the two teams involved most don't draw nearly the attention.

****, March Madness also probably draws more total viewers than the NBA playoffs do on average. That tournament is far more luck based because every game is win or go home.

I'm 100% sure the average person likes the upset stuff. They also watch reality tv. They drink makers mark and johny walker. They elect their politicians and then complain about them. In short the average person and things that get high ratings generally suck.

The play-in tournament made sense last season but should’ve been scrapped this year with every team slated to play the same number of games.

The idea is dumb as hell over a 70-82 game season.

Dragging in the #7 & #10 teams is even dumber.

You play hard, endure injuries, hardships, etc just to potentially get knocked out of playoff spot by a hot shooting team on the last day.

And even if you win, your reward is losing a lottery pick & getting your ass kicked by the #1 & #2 seeds.

The idea is to get more teams trying to make the play in and less teams resting guys and tanking. It’s working.

I think it’s pointless. But Lebron is just salty cuz his season went from a dream to a nightmare.

I more or less rest my case. Quality things aren't appreciated by average people.

It’s the reason why playing in the West is tough. One bad injury and you fall so far down. In the East LeBron would still be chilling right now

The man just wants an easy ride... and now that he might be playing the play-in tournament, which is an interesting idea because it creates competition, he's speaking against it. He just wants everything served on a platter to him because he is "the king".

For once I agree with LeBron. It made sense last year but it makes no sense if you’re playing 60+ games

The only guys who complain about the play-in games are the ones whose teams are heading to be in them. Lebron has just missed 24 games, his team is slumping, and now he doesn't like the play-in game format.

It’s clear you don’t understand how the play-in works if you think all it takes is to lose just once against a hot shooting team.

7 seed hosts 8 seed
9 seed hosts 10 seed

Loser of 7/8 hosts winner of 9/10

So it would take two matches, not just one, which is what you implied.

How would the 3 team play-in work?

IMO it should have been like last year - #8 and #9 play with #9 needing to win twice. Not sure why they're dragging #10 and #7 into it as well besides $$$

LeBron James on the play-in tournament:"Whoever came up with that needs to be fired"

Post#236 » by Paradise » Tue May 4, 2021 7:08 am

Same ones who talked about changing seeding to 1-16 with stupid meaningless threads are saying the Play In for Top 10 teams is stupid...You can’t make this **** up on this board, man. It’s hilarious.

LeBron needs to STFU. It’s not about you. It’s worked and it’s no different to the Wild Card in MLB. It’s not even single elimination unless you are the lower seed to 7th. Don’t be below Top 6 if that’s such an issue.

This guy is such a cry baby whenever the rules don’t benefit him. A true example of why people don’t like his whining. Imagine saying this after a championship but I heard zero complaints from Golden State.

2 games vs 70+ games

Why not just do a play-in tournament for everybody except the top 4 seeds, if the rest of the season can get wiped away based on a handful of games?

Great.

Like I told the other guy, why not just have a play-in for everybody except the top 4 seeds?

Better yet, why not just scrap the whole regular season & do a pre-postseason tournament?
