It's not sink or swim. It's swim or have another shot against Spurs/MEM.

Didn't that happen 3 out of 4 times in the finals?
I guess 2 of those times had my guy KD dropping a game clinching 3 in his face.

He doesnt have Kd, Iggy or Klay this time

Warriors have a freebie there
No one expects them to win.
On The other hand Lakers would be embarrassed to lose this game.

Probably already answered but what the hell. Why does the 7 seed have to play the 8 seed? Shouldn't they get the benefit of playing the 10th seed? Basically the 10 seed gets rewarded.

The Lakers and Warriors are only the 7/8 seed due to injuries, unfortunately for the warriors their injured guys are still injured and the lakers are at 100%

Are you advocating for a simple knock-out tournament? The 7th seed loses to the 10th seed and then they are out?

The current design gives the 7th and 8th seeds a double chance. It rewards them for their higher finish. To miss the playoffs they have to lose twice.

The 9th and 10th seeds have to win twice in order to make the playoffs. Compared to one win for the 7th and 8th seeds. I'm not sure how that can be interpreted as rewarding the lower ranked teams - they are at a fair disadvantage.

It'll probably be a massacre, but how funny would it be if the Lakers lose and end up as the #8 seed to foil the Clippers' disgraceful tank?

we will most likely lose this, but how many of your Steph takes do you have to be wrong on before you start treading more lightly? we can all make pretty good money betting against your predictions at this point guy.

Thanks. I don't follow basketball as much anymore but figured I was missing something.

Hopefully Curry goes crazy in this one, so we see a close game, otherwise LA will blow them out...

Wiggins averages 23ppg in 14 games against James.
He will probably guard him as well.
