My fiance and I had it. Order yourself a pulse-oxygen monitor from amazon. You can find them for less than $20. It was a lifesaver. We found that when we were really nervous, knowing that our blood oxygen level was at a decent level helped calm both of us down. If it hadn't been we'd have known it was time to go to the hospital. For us, that never happened.

Our symptoms: Had fever for a day, then heavy fatigue. Cough. Lost our sense of smell, but not taste. Foggy headed. Loss of appetite. My fiance had some stomach symptoms, as well. Took her longer to recover than it did me.

Longer-term symptoms (these have all gone away, but they lasted for a while): Cough. Foggy headedness. Fatigue.

I'll be praying for you...

Main symptom is chills, I feel real cold. I also have off and on coughing. Off and on headaches too. I have asthma and woke up this morning and could barely breathe. My asthma pump helped though. My parents didn’t catch it from my nephew because they have the vaccine. I’m in my 30’s. I know this is non basketball related but just wanted to share this with the realgm family because I feel horrible. Feel tired.

Godspeed your recovery Rod! I'm glad you're prepared to treat asthma & asthma-like symptoms.

I had it back in December. Can say it definitely was different than any illness I’ve ever had. For about 3-4 days I was bedridden and felt like I was hit by a truck but after that I had more milder symptoms. I lost my smell and taste for a few days and still haven’t been able to fully get my taste back. I’ve had other family members get it and they ranged in symptoms from no symptoms at all to being hospitalized so it really just depends on you and how your body responds to it. Feel better man.

Your nephew is an idiot OP, I'm sorry. He didn't know he had covid but he still came over with Cold Symptoms during a pandemic? C'mon.

I would say drink lots of herbal tea as it usually helps relieve a lot of cold/flu symptom, best of luck.

got ther 2nd vax shot last Friday (Pfizer) and it knocked me out for a good day or so.

If that like 1/1000 of what it feels like to actually have COVID - then people are carzy to not get vaxed and risk getting it.
It was pretty bad for just a reaction. Pounding headache and tons of chills.

stay hydrated, stay quarrantened, mask up if people come around & get well soon!

1 week of severe fatigue for me, very flu like, my wife didn't feel anything, my sister had mild fever and sister in law lost their sense of smell also, in general, people that I know who had it in winter, had it hard, the people I know who had it spring and early autumn, had it easy, no shortness of breath at all though in anyone I know including me.

I had it but didn't have heavy symptoms. In fact the only reason I even knew I had it was because I noticed I couldn't smell or taste anything.

Had it last April. Was very sick for four days (sore throat, headache, fever, chills, etc). 5th day lost sense of smell and taste but began to feel better. Took about 14 days for taste and smell to come back and for the fatigue to level off

had it month ago, had terrible fatigue and felt like bad case of cold for 10 days but not to a point where i felt like i needed to be hospitalized. my gf had it same time but she barely had any symptoms.

i had pretty bad asthma as a child, although not since my teenage years, and thankfully had no respiratory symptoms.

I got it back in November of 2019. Before it really took off.

I typically don't get sick. But it started out as normal Flu like symptoms (Fever, chills, fatigue), and then gradually got worse (sore throat & cough). It lasted about a week. But I felt fatigued for a solid 2 weeks.

If you haven't had it & haven't got the vaccine, go get it!

Start taking vitamin D. If you have it in the house. Over load on it.

I had it back in December. Didn't have it as bad as some. Worst of it was a runny nose, loss of taste, body ache in my lower back and fatigue for about a week. Luckily I had no longer term effects and have been back to normal since Christmas. I'll be 32 tomorrow.

Taking too much Vitamin D can cause things like Kidney stones. Just take the recommended amount. But definitely don't over do it.

Over extended periods of time. Not the 2 weeks you have Covid.

Terrible advice with Covid is telling someone not to take it. Every person I know that’s died from Covid had one thing in common. A vitamin D deficiency. Something that most people have if you’re not in the sun all the time.

Has anyone on here had covid before? If so how was it, what symptoms did you have?

Well wishes. I had it, but I was fortunate to be asymptomatic. I never even knew I had it until I took an antibody test.

In any case, be positive the odds are in your favor that you’ll be fine, but at the same time take it very seriously and do what the doctor you’re in touch with tells you to do.

There is definitely a difference between "don't take it" and "don't overtake it". In fact, literally every other possible amount exists in between.

Telling someone who is clearly worried about their Covid situation to "overload" on vitamin d, when you don't know their medical history, nor do you know how they will interpret such a vague (and definitively stated) recommendation, is irresponsible my guy. If you were medically qualified to dispense such information, the word overload wouldn't enter into it.

I guess RealMD is branching out of sports medicine.

A lot of us have very likely had the virus and simply did not notice (I'm sure I was exposed countless times working alongside hundreds of maskless travelers indoors every weekend). It's certainly a strange virus in the sheer size of it's spectrum (from absolutely no or very light symptoms for most, to death for some). It has mutated though and many new strains are more dangerous than previous ones. I would recommend everyone get the vaccine, but I know that's strangely a hot-button issue these days.
