The Nets arent good enough on defense to get away with small ball against dominant teams, unlike the mid decade Warriors. Nash is really dropping the ball with his lineups imo.

Wiggens defense is a thing. What a step forward he's made.

Handful of players? Which player or players is having a better season, with a better record while playing with less of a supporting cast?

That's not how MVP voting works. Having a good cast does not exactly work against top candidates unless they're absolutely loaded. Lillard's case is right alongside Doncic's in that regard though. Better players have been Jokic, Curry, Embiid and Giannis. Other guys have been as good or better as well in Lebron/Kawhi/KD/Harden but they've missed too much time. He'll get top 5 votes and probably finish there, but not a single 1st. Maybe ~5-10% give him a 2nd.

Some people just want to reinvent the wheel and see a change to how the MVP voting goes. Maybe one day there will be an exception to the rule. Maybe it will be Doncic. But my money will be on the player who has at least had the conferences top two teams record wise or been to a conference final during his career. Giannis, Harden, and Nash were those MVPs. Westbrook went to conference finals and a NBA final; then won it a couple of years later.

I think Doncic will win one. But Dallas needs to improve his supporting cast.

Nets offense is so trash. It’s Kd and kyrie taking turns. No movement or anything else.

Their lack of size also destroying them. Bucks are just playing bully ball and hunting for matchups.

So KP is some bum now? Just gonna pretend like he doesn't exist...?

He is a bum and he might as well not exist since he doesn’t play in half the games

Jokic I admit should win it but as you alluded to there are so many factors that go into the mvp vote, one can make as good a case for Luka than any of the players you just mentioned. And there are so many stats out there, you can find a few to make a case for any of them. He was 4th last year and I would guess he cracks the top 3 this year.

Knicks fan. You're not exactly unbiased. He's gets injured some but the point is that when he plays, he produces. Luka is not out there by himself.

Do you know he has played less games than Embiid or LeBron this season? 40 games played so far and missed 25.

Bruce Brown should be getting more minutes. You don't need more offense when you have KD and Kyrie on the court

Wait who said he was a bum. You're close with not existing though. Playing 55% of games sure is a feat.

Love it!

Suns fan trying to discredit Luka by propping up the teammates while Knicks fans discrediting KP.

Just hilarious to see as a Mav fan hahaha

Steph Curry at 33 is doing incredible things. He's launching threes in extremely crowded situations and draining them.

He's been dominant from deep this season. fun stuff to watch.
