Both all time great go to moves, which one is better?

Two of the greatest scorers ever and two of the few players with an actual legendary go to move. These moves are as legendary as the Kareem hook, the Jordan fadeaway, the dream shake, dirks one footer, Duncan’s bank shot, and manu’s euro step, Am I missing any?

Anyways, For me it’s close some people consider both moves to be illegal. But I gotta ho Iverson only because he has used it to success vs way more all stars and hall of famers.

If 3 pointers more popular Iverson cross over plus option of step back or blow by would be unguardable with his quickness.

Crossover, because it leads to a higher percentage shot.

This is easily Harden's stepback. It's almost impossible to block.

Cross over allows Iverson to beat his man, but he still has to deal with interior help side defense or settle for a pull up mid range jumper which is inefficient

The Stepback three is pretty much unguardable

Wasnt Iversons crossover determined a carry after a while? I remember he stopped using it as much later on.

Not usually for AI lol.

Harden gets away with too many travels so I went with AI.

Hardens is harder to block. Cant even contest it that well without getting a foul

I love A.i. all time great

but Harden's TS was just at another level, 3s are worth more and have more wiggle room in the percentage too, let alone i'd imagine hes probably among the leaders of drawing fouls on 3s too

Uhm. You didn't read the question of the thread or you don't understand what is difference between a basketball move and efficiency?

In terms of ‘come on’ it’s Harden bc he’s so smooth with it but in terms of you ain’t stopping that it’s Bubba, it was so lethal, nobody could stay infront of that man if on that. Nobody. Ever. Period. You could body Harden if the league wasn’t charmin soft, put the glove on Harden and that ain’t happening. Nope. Put Kobe on him. Nope. They would be all in his chest, none of this dribble between legs, fake R/L, BS, they’d be in his chest.

You think cross overs and step backs can be compared? Step back requires you to actually puts up a shot, and cross over is just the set up for the shot, it’s two different things. It’s like me asking, which ones are the more deadlier move, Floater or hesitation dribble?

And no, iverson’s cross over wasn’t “unstoppable” since he typically scored at league average efficiency or below and was not a good facilitator.

Iverson shot 35% over his career from 3-10 feet, 37% from 10-16 feet. So unless Iverson is getting to the bucket in his mid 20s (he was an amazing finisher from age 23-25, pretty awful every other year), it's probably not a higher percentage shot.

Kind of an ironic thing to say considering how controversial Iverson's crossover was for being a travel at the time. Palming violations have been lessened dramatically over the years, and Iverson is an important figure in that story. Harden's step back isn't a travel by the rules ever since the established "step zero" or "the gather step". Both guys were controversial early pioneers for a particular officiating rule.

44 combined basketball seasons between these two players and not one single high school, college, or NBA championship for either one.

44 years and not a single title. Not ONE. At least they both have moves though.

Iverson over Harden in general.

Hardens game has helped ruin basketball and AI is an all time great who today would avg even more points because of the bs fouls they call. Also AI wanted to win whereas Harden seems disinterested.
