Just cause the Celtics weren’t in the championship conversation doesn’t mean it’s a foregone conclusion that they couldn’t have pulled off an upset for a round. There have been teams that pull an upset in the 1st round but go on to lose the next round. It’s really not that uncommon

I have no doubt it would'v been a more competitive series going as far as 6 or 7 games if all players for both teams were healthy. Afterall, the celtics convincingly won a game with all Big 3 of the Nets playing.

Dealing with injuries that are outcome determinative towards winning a Championship are a lot worse than dealing with injuries that are not.

I'm pretty sure if Kawhi had gotten hurt in 2019 and the Raptors never won it would have sucked a lot more than Pascal Siakim hurting his shoulder this year.

We know they are not Harden and Kyrie, Sherlock.

Yeah but the Bucks will always be suspect in games cause of their BBIQ(particularly Giannis). They were doing some dumb things in the 2nd half of both wins that were just head scratching and I think Irving and Durant would've probably made a run in the game. In fact I was actually surprised that Nash never attempted a Hack-a-Giannis strategy because that seems like something that would mentally throw Giannis off and also the Bucks rhythm.

The Nets without their 2nd best player had the upper hand in this series, with two blowouts and one last second loss that could have gone either way.

It’s a totally different scenario, not sure why we’re equating the two.

They were giving Giannis 20 seconds to shoot throws, he'd hit em all.
