Yeah its interesting debate if Paul is actually top 5 PG all time. He literally lacks all and any kind of major career accomplishment. While media and people in here nail some players who have similar or better resume and rank them far behind Paul. Just being a short is not excuse and should not give you points in all time rankings. Nor should be advanced numbers be and end it all if you haven't really been past 2nd round in your career.

When it's all said and done if Paul wins nothing he might be outside of top 5 PG all time since some serious hitters coming behind him. Most are now, as typical, valuing him way higher than he should rank. Most active players are ranked way higher than they will ultimately slot to while they are actively playing. See Kobe, top 5 all time when playing in media and now for most around 10-15.

Didn't he marry his wife, because she looks a little like him.

I have to admit, his show would entertaining, if he was debating himself.

For me the most unbiased take on top 10 all time PGs is something like:

1.Magic
2.Oscar or West

4. Curry

5. Paul or Nash or Stockton

8. Kidd
9. Isiah or Westbrook

Depending on what you think is important can be valued differently between these players who are tied, but I think 90% of people have these people on their top 10 anyway and many have them on this kind of order.

I just turned the video after Rondo. There is a legit argument for about 10 PGs, but Skip is ridiculous.

This is the same guy who thinks Tim Tebow is one of the most clutch players in NFL history.

I’ll never understand why people always have Stockton so high?

Tons of assists. Smart player. Good defender. But also, never a high volume scorer and he played his entire career with a top 20 player and 2 time MVP and still only played in exactly two finals, which they lost. Plus he was never even the best player on his own team.

Everyone else on your list was the best player on their team for a good chunk of their careers. Curry has 3 titles and literally transformed the game and he’s worse then Stockton? Cant see that. The funny part is that people never have any trouble calling CP a loser or a choker but Stockton has always avoiding any negative labels.

Paul played with guy who is arguably even better than Malone and superior supporting cast to Jazz. Why have him so high?

Worth mentioning: Gary Payton, Tim Hardaway, Kyrie Irving, Tony Parker.

None of them are top 5, but they should be mentioned in a top 15 debate.
MJ is the GOAT, but LeBron can be if he does 2 of the following:
[X] Win another FMVP
[ ] Win another MVP
[X] 40K/10K/10K career

I'd have a hard time putting CP5 in my top 5, but a hard time keeping him out of my top 10. I'm not sure what kind of list would have 15 point guards ahead of him.

I mean, Skip just says things for fun, never watched him, never had the interest to outside of random YouTube clips every couple months.

If you mean Harden, I think you missed the posters context which is that Stockton played with Malone for his WHOLE career. Paul was with Harden for 2 seasons and not even during his prime. Just counting from when Stockton became a starter and until Paul's current age, he had 12 seasons (16 total) with a player who for the vast majority of that time was playing at a top 20 All-Time level and who was also an iron man (as well as Stockton). While Paul has/has had his injury issues, there were at least three seasons where he was healthy and his co-star was not able to suit up at all or contribute meaningfully; Stockton never had that with Malone either.

If you mean another of Paul's teammates, mmmm...not sure what to say.

I don't know if I would go that far but he's definitely not top 5 all time.

Can we have a rule that we can't post about Morton's from first take? They are getting exactly what they want

CP3 is a better player than Stockton in my opinion. Stockton doesn't have a title, and plenty of people rank him in the top 5.

Too much emphasis is placed on titles anyways. Only one team wins the title each year, and there are so many variables involved.

Magic
Curry
Zeke
Oscar
CP3

Can you name me a PG better than those 5?

West isn't a PG. Stockton's peak falls short. Who else? Kidd? Payton? Arguable I guess, but I'd personally take CP3 over Kidd and Payton, and I'm a 90's kid who followed both those guys entire careers.

Those 5 are clearly above Paul, based on their post season success. Not up for debate in my mind. That leaves

Stockton, Nash, Kidd & Westbrook to go with Paul for the top 10 all time.

Not top 15 is just click bait stuff. And here we are talking about Skip.

I think if I tried really hard, I could put Tony Parker, Gary Payton and Billups ahead of CP3, which would push him out of the top 10, but never out of the top 15.

Based on what?
