He'd be ejected 2 minutes into every game for his patented move of stepping under 3 point shooters. This move made his career, because guys were hesitant to attempt shots in his vicinity. Now it's a flagrant 1, accidental or not.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

He was just Zaza Pachulia on the perimeter. He wasn’t that good of a defender. Who did he ever shut down?

Solid starter on a contender and a highly valued guy like he was then. Basically, the guy every team wants to find but would like to get for 10 not 20 mil a year...

People would be salivating over him and questioning whether or not someone who averages 7 PPG can make the HOF because he's a great defender and only plays on winning teams. See: Danny Green.

Buddy, if you can search his name on bball reference/YouTube, you would know that he was a great perimeter defender.
The dude was the 5× NBA All-Defensive First Team (2004–2008) and 3× NBA All-Defensive Second Team (2001–2003), there is a reason for that.

I’m very familiar with Bowen. I always thought he was overrated. He was constantly getting torched by Kobe, T-Mac, and Dirk.
It also helps he played in an era of inefficient chuckers.

Why did VC not swing on him? 3x's in 5 years? I'll take the suspension & a fine. I am letting loose on that doof.

I would like to know your list of best defenders. Russell was torched by Chamberlain, Gary Payton was torched by MJ, Ben Wallace (my favorite player) was touched by Shaq, Kawhi Leonard was torched by KD/LeBron. There is one thing in common between all of them, those defenders made it tough for the scorers.
Defense is about making your opponents work and take the toughest shot possible, and Bruce Bowen was one of the best in the 00's.
