Is Devin Booker a Bona Fide Superstar Now?

He is a two time All-Star and one of the premiere young SGs in the league but regressed this regular season, especially as a 3 point shooter. Does this showing in the 2021 playoffs and his first-ever NBA Finals appearance cement his status as a superstar? I was always skeptical of him as a prospect from his days at Kentucky but I'm glad he proved me wrong improving greatly under the tutelage of the deceased Mamba.

I think he is an incredible third option on a title team who can contend for a scoring title any year but he has to at least become an average defender and regain his three point shooting form which is what made him great in the first place upon entering the league

He's barely a top 5 under 25 at this point. No.

Lol what? He’s the Suns got to player = #1 option. Takes all the last second shots etc.

Yeah but he is still a low tier talent and low end star in my book who has scoring milestones and accomplishments that put him up their with ATGs and legends. I wouldn't build a team around him. Hopefully we can attract a superstar wing to come over here and finish our core. Booker could attract a marquee FA to come here but he isn't one himself

by handsome salary
He's been great and an all star but a superstar that consistently has a high percentage in a needed bucket situation? Not there yet but getting closer.Still needs to work on hero ball/bad shot ball.

I consider a superstar to be a top 10 player.

Booker? He is not a top 10 player. But I will give it to you that he is a bonafide star. Superstar? F*ck no.

What???

He is a first scoring option on a title contender NOW (yeah, those games that are playing this week) and he is already an above average defender. Are the Bucks trying to isolate him and score easily on him? No, not at all, because he is a good defender now.

He has improve every season basically at everything.

Booker is the second best shooting guard in the league almost unanimously after Harden if you don't count Luca as as a 2 which he isn't

His instincts has improved but he is still by almost every metric a well below average defender

Hes not a superstar but he is definitely top 20 maybe a case for top 15, hes improved his defense when it counts…. the playoffs. Low tier talent?

If he wins a Finals MVP it is going to do a heck of a lot for his resume.

He's already a first option on a team that is 2 wins away from winning it all. He's been one of the better defenders in the playoffs this year. He has a better defensive rating according to the NBA.com advanced stats this post season than Lebron, AD, Patrick Beverly, Durant, Kawhi, Simmons, etc.

Come on.

I am a Booker fan now and happy for his new found success but again still insist that I would never build a team around him. You need a transcendent/generational talent. He is basically a homeless man's Kobe without the athleticism, plus All-NBA defense and intangibles and a sporadic killer instinct

I am relieved that Book is playing both ends of the court when we need him the most at the highest stage of the game but do you really think this defensive performance is replicable and he is comparable to those elite two-way players you are listing?

I don’t call everyone a superstar.
