what sucks about being Dirk or Giannis is that you don’t really have the fanbase you think. Your career is in reference of others. Your accomplishment is just anti someone else talking points.

Just when i get on the Giannis is the best in the world bandwagon someone goes to far..

Those scared stars wasnt thinking about Giannis when they teamed up lol. KD didnt look so scared when he almost took him out by himself.

Props to Giannis tho. This series performance proves hes the best in the world imo

reading comprehension dude... I said 'a guy like Giannis'

No one is scared of Giannis lol. Is he LBJ? Kareem? Duncan? Hakeem? All those guys won championships when their opponents were at their best. Giannis didn't do that and until he does, he doesn't deserve to be put in that conversation.

Its hard not to root for this guy. You will never see him get out worked and he's always humble in victory.

Even though i rooted for Suns because of CP3, i still am very happy how this season ended. Call it hating if you want but seeing finals withouth superficialy created teams as Lakers and Nets is great. I hope we see it again next year so maybe that changea trend a bit...

And Giannis wins a ring with his original team without ever leaving unlike Lebron.

Nah it’s over 121 to 107

Clippers go on a 15-0 run right after this, and eventually win the game.

You shouldn't put Giannis in Dirk's category. Dirk's Mavs won a championship against opponents who were at full strength.

He’s not half the player those guys are lmao.. here come the absurd gassing of a player that is the same guy he was last year but just got a lucky break

All I know is that he carried and had a worse supporting cast than those guys. Jordan is better but Giannis' BPM was Lebron-esque these playoffs.

Who on his team is the level of a Curry or in reverse the level of a Durant. Who on the team is the level of a Wade? Or even a Bosh? How about AD?

Giannis team has talent but it's the playoffs so do the rest of the teams. Mad respect for Giannis not using a cheat code and winning a legit championship

Dirk beat a Lebron/Wade/Bosh super-team. Giannis beat a scared Ayton, a one-dimensional Book and a largely washed/injured Paul.

As great as Giannis was, Dirk's performance stands alone.

So instead of celebrating Giannis and Middleton and Jrue, you’re taking their winning a chip as an opportunity to bash Lebron and others. Gotcha.

Y’all don’t really like these players. Maybe you like the sport in general, but the more I read this board the more obvious it becomes that you wish players weren’t people so you could treat them as solely assets.

Super teams aren’t new. And for all the blame Lebron gets for the modern era super team, it was actually Boston with KG and Ray Ray who were the first of this era.

It’s nice to see the Bucks win it all, just so whiny small market fans can stfu. Clearly anybody can win a chip if your front office is competent. Respect to Giannis for getting the biggest bag AND the chip.

If Giannis has limped his way to a title, I'd see the criticism.

But he just out up probably the best single game performance in a clinching finals game ever, and one of the best in the finals overall. He had a weaker opponent, but he also had what I view as a non-championship supporting cast.

So he, more so than the Bucks, gets incredible credit from me. That was amazing.

Luka gonna need to get that usage down...no matter how talented you are....you gotta get more out your guys...

See Jrues shooting and how inconsistent these guys were...but Giannis pulled them through

Lebron never showed commitment to Cleveland during his first run and acted with a sense of entitlement. Giannis on the other hand since he joined the NBA had to develop his game, prove himself and grow into the leadership role. Giannis is a much better leader than Lebron was at the same stage.

Or it's the fact that Giannis had a far better supporting cast

When the Cavs lost this game from LeBron you had to know it was never happening in Cleveland with that roster

it's really weird that people are bringing up stars being injured as a knock this run. He just put up a 50 piece to ice the championship. with no other super on his team. put all those players on super teams on their own teams with an all star caliber talent, and he's beating them.

Love to see someone stick with their team and win it. This puts Giannis over someone like KD for me all time. Obviously Giannis needs to play some more years but I am pretty sure this along with continued MVP caliber seasons the next 4 or 5 years makes him a top 15 player (most likely the 12 to 15 range) of all time.

KD couldn't beat the guy that 'doesn't deserve to be put in that conversation' even though he had another MVP level player next to him... Is your argument that KD needs Harden AND Kyrie just to beat the guy that 'doesn't deserve to be put in that conversation'? Is that what you're getting at?

The great thing about Giannis being so young is he'll have lots of chances to secure his legacy. So we'll see if this was just a lucky draw in terms of opponents (based on now he played tonight I don't think it was).

Giannis just added a great accomplishment in an already impressive legacy for his age.

As for the superteam argument, you can call this team however you want, but it wasn't manufactured. Giannis didn't collude with Middleton and Jrue didn't force his way to Milwaukee. By the way Jrue and Midds are great players at their role but let's not act like they are multiple all star/all nba players.

Instead of ''hating'' on this team's accomplishment and talking about how each ring stacks against each other, you should be glad that a small market team, that doesn't attract big name free agents managed to keep it's superstar player, build around him and get a championship. Because if you are a team from a small market it could be your team next
