Giannis or Jokic | Who would you build a team around?

Tonight it's Giannis.

But starting tomorrow when I am sober I lean towards Jokic.

Both require a team to be built around them, with Giannis its offensively (though less than we previously thought) and with Jokic its defensively. Hard to really pick, but really even if you take into account recency bias, you gotta pick Giannis right cos he just got a ring averaging 35 and 13 in great numbers.

Timing is a bit unfair, especially with the contrast of Ayton neutralizing Jokic, then looking like a child against Giannis.

Giannis is the answer, because to the victor go the spoils.

Giannis, he did just win the championship . Circumstances and all that Yada Yada Yada but jokic lost and giannis just won so you have to put the greek freak ahead. Can't even compare so for now just go with the guy who just put up 50

Way to ask this when you know all the recency bias will cause the results to skew one way

Ask again next postseason when Denver and Bucks are both healthy and we’ll see

Love both of them though. Very likable superstars

You always gotta compare the circumstances. Jokic lost his best teammate, Giannis got very fortunate with stars on other teams going down, and Giannis's team was able to close out a series without him. But you can't ignore that Giannis just had one of the most dominant close out games in NBA Finals history.

Maybe your team is going nowhere if your starting backcourt is Campazzo- Rivers...

Portis
Jokic

That team would have good chance of geting out of west this year and maybe winning it all.

That all said im stil not sure, probably leaning towards Giannis bcs of recency bias but that can change tomorrow or in a month..

Worst MVP in what way? Least talented? Least deserving? I don't agree with either but they make a huge difference depending on which one you mean.

Least deserving is a definite no, dude was an absolute monster in the regular season.

Least talented is also a no, I mean, he's rated lower on the all-time list than pretty much every MVP winner of the last 20 years but that's normal for someone the year they win their first MVP.

Bucks lose Middleton to an ACL tear and no way is this questioned being asked. Context is critically important.

I don’t think it would have mattered. Giannis was on a mission this year and wasn’t going to let his team lose no matter what happened.
