Yeah, F Jennings. So glad Dumars was stupid enough to trade for him AND include Middleton.

Something like 80% of it was pure luck, if his knee had twisted even by 1 degree he would've blown multiple ligaments and would be done for a year+. But there's also a component of how fit and tolerant to pain and strong willed this dude is. Even without structural damage the knee still swole up and hurt (probably like hell). Giannis said today he was never ok throughout the Finals.

In some weird way I think it actually helped him a little on the floor. Made him slow down a little and consider his options instead of pressing the turbo boost button in every play.

I want to congratulate the Bucks and their fans for a great Finals run. This was a tough season with so many injuries, but I would definitely argue that the best team won. This was a full team job too. The players gave everything on the court. The fans were crucial to the home games. Man, though, the front office was just spectacular. What an impressive team! Congratulations and thanks for breaking the monotony. ;-)

He made a lot of questionable moves (what GM doesn't), but these two moves were the reason the Bucks are champs. Sorry he wasn't around in Milwaukee to enjoy the fruits of his labor (he's Orlando's GM now).
Hammond was also a key player in helping the Pistons win a championship. When he left that's when the Pistons started making horrible decisions.

Bucks fans, like other fans, have short memories. They generally don't know or give no credit to Hammonds. And the current GM Horst, was a trainee under Hammonds, and learned all he knows from him. He's done a good job in my opinion, but he had a good mentor.

That injury is proof that some players are injury resistant and others injury prone. Many players would have torn that ACL. Giannis durability is a very good sign for his career.
