He works with Nike and Disney, he employs more kids than you can imagine. The pay could be better though.

My question is...what the hell do you do with that much money.
Build a spaceship. I heard it's what all the cool billionaires are doing now.
lol true. I just wonder if people that are in the 1% eventually become bored with money
and at what point are you sick of the limelight and go buy a 10 million house in the Carribean and stay there lol
Nationwide, it takes an annual income of $538,926 to be among the top 1%. Among the approximately 1.4 million taxpayers who meet this threshold, the average annual income is about $1.7 million – about 20 times the average income of $82,535 among all taxpayers.

All NBA players are 1%'ers. There are 724 billionaires in the US and 328.2 million people in the US. Meaning 1 in every 453,314 people in the US are billionaires. LeBron is way more than a 1%.
I'm just bringing this up because I feel like so many people don't realize how much money you have to make annually to be a 1%, it's less than most people think.
Go Knicks!

Yep, and most of those in the so called 1% are only there for a year. He is the very definition, the face of wealth inequality. For him to have stolen so much of our wealth before 40 is insane.

Re: Lebron hits the $1 billion mark
I remember early on, he said his goal was to become a billionaire. At the time, for around $200-$300m, you could buy a NBA franchise.
Recently, even the Jazz sold for $1.6B, and the T-Wolves is rumored to be in a deal in the $1.5B range.
He is still chasing a ghost.

Correct, he's probably a few years away from being a billionaire.

Not that he has to, but he does his share of charity and philanthropy, it's just not up to your standards apparently and likely wouldn't be regardless.
I expect nothing from him. Well the truth would be nice. It'd be nice to live up to his own standards. Why would someone who is for equity want to 'horde' so much wealth? It makes no sense to me. Hopefully when he retires, he starts sending out checks to everyone with less money than him to redistribute the wealth. I think we can all use an extra check amirite?
Does it bother you when people that you agree with politically are greedy and horde their money as well, or is this a complete double standard?

I'm not sure, it would take someone more knowledgeable than me to explain how he does that.

Greed is an interesting word. Is it greedy to have a lot or to demand what isn't yours? I think there's a lot of explore with that. My concern with Lebron is that he says he's for equity, but won't give away all his excess wealth. I just want him to not just talk about it, but actually be about it.

Excess? Are you defining how much is too much for him? No doubt in my mind this is an outlook you've contradicted plenty of times if that's the case. He doesn't have any standard to live up to but his own.

Considering where he came from and that he started as a basketball player it’s pretty crazy. Good on him.

Let's use this opportunity to guess which team he buys an ownership stake in down the road.

Hypothetical, if you're a LeBron hater but a Kings fan, do you want him to own the Kings or not?
