This seems like a bad deal for Memphis. Jonas at times was their best player after Morant. Moving up 7 spots, they must really think that they are getting someone good in that range. Risky and they took on Adams' monster contract.

Thats a lot of bad money to eat to move up in the draft just for a protected 1st from the Lakers next year. And Jonas is an actual productive player while the other 2 arent. And lol, that Adams extension was so predictably bad.

Memphis must REALLY like someone they think will be available at 10…. Sengun or Giddey perhaps? Otherwise this makes no sense. Valunciunas was a huge part of their success last season and Steven Adams’ contract is not good.

I feel bad for Grizzlies fans...They lost this deal bad. JV is way more offensively gifted talent than Adams. Bledsoe is trash and all Bucks/Raps fans can back me up on that.

Don't love it for Memphis, but ultimately if they like a player in the ten range, it's worth moving up. The Lakers pick at least helps them with flexibility, moving forward.
Instead, I would have really liked to see Memphis use their cap space to bring in a well-fitting veteran instead.

So after trading Holiday for Bledose and some picks, they had to turn around and use one of those picks to dump Bledsoe?
