WE BACK. Shoutout to the wonderful @ElectricMayhem for holding it down last year. Yes, I was lazy.

Your favorite offseason debate is back by popular demand!
Thanks to everyone who voted last go around Im excited to see where the 2nd annual edition ends up.

Here's the Rules:
-Vote ONE player per poll. You'll be able to change your vote just like last year for those indecisive folks.
-The criteria of ranking the players is YOUR OWN. The whole point of bringing this to the GB is to attract the widest amount of votes/perspectives on the game as possible to form a true consensus. Some people value shooting over defense, team success over indivdual prowess etc. I want to bake all that in to this poll set no matter how chaotic.
-Each poll a player will win and then be taken out of the field. There will be 25 polls in all.
-There are only 10 possible poll options so I will start with the 10 guys who I personally believe will round out the top 10 in most people's eyes.
-As each poll commences I ask you to COMMENT IN THE THREAD your vote for who should be added in the next poll. There will be a large list of players yet to be added to the field below that you can look over to make your vote. I will tally up the votes in the comments at the end of each poll and add the winner accordingly. For example, if you want Bryn Forbes added in the next poll just comment "Nominate: Bryn Forbes"
-If a poll is overwhelmingly skewed towards one guy I will try, time willing, to edit it early and move on to the next one.
-If there is a tie in the poll. There will be a run-off poll created with just the tying parties to determine a winner. The losers of the runoff will then be added back into the field of 10 for the next poll.

Jokic seems like a given here in light of the last vote. Vote to add Paul George, he should be in the poll ahead of a few of these guys unless we think he's going to decline next season.

- Don't take injuries into too much account when I vote, just who was best based on last season. I think Kawhi will be back mid season and hoop. Not mad at Jokic tho, he's def right there.

If you think the playoffs are a true test of a player's greatness, Jokic has been significantly better than Harden ever has.

If you think the playoffs are a true test of a player's greatness, Jokic has been significantly better than Harden ever has.

Before Harden went down with injury he looked like Nr 1 option on the Nets. And that's with Durant on the team.

If you talk about play-offs, I'm not sure in what way Jokic has proved himself more than Harden. And I really like Jokic. At his best Harden is also MVP. I think him and Jokic are about even but I give Harden slight edge.

I might get flamed for this but at this point I would take Harden over Giannis, LeBron and Doncic.

Embiid and Jokic is a toss up to me. Very different strengths and weaknesses.

It's too easy to undervalue Jokic's durability. He slimmed down from next season and played every game in an onerously scheduled season—one where most of the usual sideliners succumbed to the injury bug. He was already arguably the frontrunner before his competitors went down; he just outdistanced himself by doing what's easier said than done: staying healthy.

Theoretically, other superstars like AD, Harden, Kawhi, and Embiid might be better at full strength, but therein lies the problem: you can't take their availability for granted—a wildcard Yoki hasn't given us grounds to question so far thanks to his presenteeism and self-maintenance. The durability gap is profound enough that it's likelier for Jokic to outperform the above-named superstars for a playoffs run than it is for them to stay healthy throughout.

It doesn't hurt that the 26-year-old Center probably has enough upside left in him to close the gap enough, if not decidedly overtake them, that it'll boil down more to their individual levels of play than their health.

Vote Jokic. He was the best player in the league this year. Idk why people are so down on him when he got to the second round w. out his second best player, and basically relied on Campazzo, streaky a** MPJ and Austin Rivers. This is the thing w. y'all, people don't look at situation unless it's time to discredit someone. He's a top 7 or 8 scorer in the league all things considered and probably the best passer.
