He says he knows his rights, which he clearly doesn't. This isn't even his house.

Looks like everyone wanted to show that they're the man... If you are completely with anyone in this, it says a lot about yourself and your inherent bias.
Jaxon Hayes was an ****. I just don't understand that type of behaviour. I personally try to be nice and not confrontational with people in general. It baffles me that people can act like that with any type of person in authority.
BUT some police are so bad at de-escalating situations. It's your job to deal with ****, be a professional about it. You should be expecting it and be the bigger man. They could have explained to him why he was mistaken and try to speak calmly.

Jaxon Hayes isn’t even better than Chuck Hayes.

They could have done a better job of explaining the situation but they were surprisingly calm throughout. And I dont blame them for not taking the time to explain. Theyre on a domestic violence call, and the person who may be a threat to the caller is drunk and belligerent and refusing to cooperate. Also didnt take Hayes friend any time to figure out what the cops were there for and how to respond

I agree that Hayes was out of line and trying to get back in the house was a poor choice. I'm just saying that they're professional and their first mindset should be to avoid having to fight with him at all cost.
Didn't the police officer grab him by the wrist twice before Hayes showed that he could be violent to them? I don't think that grabbing a pissed off guy by the wrist is helping unless you want it to finish in a fight.
Ultimately, I think Hayes is about 80% at fault. I just can't side 100% with the cops because they didn't attempt to make the situation better.

Isn't his house? Why is he telling them it's his house?

Hayes did that to himself there. You get physical like that with cops especially as a man of that size, they are going to have to restrain you. And they showed a ton of restraint in that. Nobody was hitting him, when he said he couldn't breathe they immediately got off of him. His friends were trying to get him to calm down but he was too busy trying to play entitled tough guy.
Normally I assume the cops are the ones out of control, out of line, but here he escalated things on his own for no reason whatsoever. Just stupid.

Hayes' girlfriend house.
Oh, I see, the same girlfriend that asked her friend to call the cops because she couldn't. Hayes is such an idiot. I've seen that with extremely tall people, I have a couple of ~7 foot tall cousins, and when they get drunk, they turn into reckless dumbasses and people around them get uncomfortable at the very least. It's like a rule that tall people simply don't handle alcohol well, and then there's the aspect of them being so big and strong that it makes it extra uncomfortable for everybody, because at the minimum they're flailing around and one has to use a lot of strength to catch them if they start falling and stuff like that. And then there's the ego to this guy which amplifies this up a couple notches because he obviously thinks he's the man because he's an nba player.

Yep, stupid ass rule applied in this case. Just follow the logic for one second here:
Woman in house apparently texts her friend saying she's in trouble, and can't call the authorities.
Friend then calls cops
Cops show up and have probable cause
So, t
he woman can text her friend but can't text 911? You know that 911 can be texted now, right? Been that way for over 5 years. She can text but can't call 911 (even without speaking into the phone, if you call 911 and aren't responsive they'll show up). I can't imagine how this can be abused for someone you don't like...for example:
A person I dislike has drugs in their house
They're having people over
I anonymously call or text 911 off a burner and say I heard screams for help from the house
Police now have probable cause and enter his home and find drugs and he goes to jail. Probable cause (made up) but they bust him for something they never would have busted him for without that anonymous made up tip.
See where I'm going with this? Slippery slope.
