By the way, I am very disappointed that no NBA superstar from Africa ever actually played for their national team, looking at you Embiid and Siakam while Cameroon is winless right now. They claim they are so patriotic towards their continent, but they rather play for different country instead (Hakeem, Deng). Sorry if I went abit off topic

It’s a lengthy commitment for players like Embiid/Siakim because Cameroon is still a second tier program.m, If you help them get there you need to stick to avoid watching them get crushed. If you don’t help them get there, then you can’t play anyway. That’s a lot to ask of injury prone players.
Teams with better coaching, structure, support, etc. do a solid job of drawing their NBA players. See Nigeria.
The relative dearth of players from Africa let alone individual countries makes it difficult. Hakeem led the way for Nigeria, Mbah a Moute is getting them there, it’s a process.
Sure, Embiid could use his cache to accelerate the process. And the criticism is fair, and he probably owes Moute for helping him get to Kansas, but still, it’s a lot to ask.
