He also got bronze in 06 world cup, him and wade were leading that team. Maybe they are refering to that bronze?

It should have been blamed more on Duncan. He was bad in Olympics, it should have been bigger stain on his career.

2004 was the culmination of the Iverson, Vince, Marbury, Steve Francis era: the rise of selfish iso ball, decline of basic fundamentals, apathy towards coaches and teamwork.
That was a thing in the NBA way before Lebron got to the league, and eventually improved with the new generation. BTW, the Redeem Team is arguably better than the Dream Team.
Only Kobe fans make that argument. They follow it with the idea that Kobe saved them in 2008, even though that was fully LeBron's team.
