Who Are the NBA Equivalents of Ted Lasso Characters?
Ted Lasso - Mike D'Antoni, easily
Roy Kent, Venerable enforcer: Udonis? Also does anyone have difficulty believing a man Roy Kent's size is a tough guy?
Keeley - Kendal Jenner?
Rebecca - Jeannie Buss, obviously
Jaime Tartt - LaMelo?
Sam? Giannis is kind and from Nigeria but I don't see other similarities.
Give me your additions and/or edits.

Sounds like a show on the Cartoon Network from 1995 or something.

Ted Lasso is actually Brett Brown IMO
Kids played football, drove cars, went to school, celebrated life; while soldiers, heroes, their brothers struggled to find their way home from war; and young boys watched and grew wiser in their dreams.

Roy Kent is Russell Westbrook in a couple of years

Fun experiments. My thoughts:
Ted Lasso - Steve Kerr all day long. Kerr's son even works on the show.
Roy Kent - Wes Unseld, ultimate tough guy and an inspirational leader
Keeley - No idea. Not any Kardashians. They sabotage the men they date.
Rebecca - Jeannie Buss? Probably the closest analogy, but not that close. She's lived and breathed Lakers her whole life.
Jaime Tartt - OJ Mayo comes to mind, though I'm guessing it ends better for Tartt
Sam - Jaylen Brown comes to mind. Smart, cultured, hard worker, teachable but not an instant star.
Dani Rojas - Lou Williams, complete with the 2 girls thing

There's some truth in this. It's on a new streaming service (Apple) that doesn't have a lot of subscribers, so the amount of buzz it's gotten is outsized compared to the size of its audience.
Don't fool yourself though. The show has a ton of Emmy nods, is really popular among pro athletes across sports, and despite being an American show, those in the UK who have seen it so far have been raving about it as well.
All this to say that if you've never heard of it, while you're not alone, you're a bit behind the curve.

Re: Who Are the NBA Equivalents of Ted Lasso Characters?
It's popular enough that Jason Sudeikas is going to be getting $1 million per episode in season 3. It might not be a hugely impactful show but it's probably the most successful show on Apple+
I also will point out if you buy a new Apple device they are offering a few months free of Apple+.

I could be wrong, but didn’t the Spurs owner’s ex wife get the team in the divorce? That’s a perfect parallel, if so

Re: Who Are the NBA Equivalents of Ted Lasso Characters?
Every single Euroleague fan ever is Ted Lasso
-Euro fan: Ahhh why is this team playing like they're trying to lose?
-Coz they're tanking
-Huh?
-Euro fan: Ahhh why is this crappy team not relegated, they've been crap for years?
-What is "relegated"?
-Huh?
-Euro fan: Why can't we just buy Lebron and Kawhi and Steph, we have this rich owner
-Because the bird rights combined with MLE and the floor of the cap space reaching the apex of the tax penalty divided by the power of two of the length of the dick of Adam Silver means we can't do it
-Huh?

Now that you say it's on Apple I know what you're talking about. With Jason Sudeikis right? Thinking back I have seen a bunch of advertisements for it, it just never stuck with me. Wonder what that tells you about their advertising. (Or my terrible memory

No idea regarding the NBA comparisons, but add me to the list of people who thinks this show is incredible. I don't have NBA equivalents for the characters, but if Ted Lasso, the show, was an NBA player, I would compare it to Luka.
