Interesting ranking. Some guys feel 30 ranks too low, some 30 too high, but that's completely understandable. F.e. Rozier at 78 is underrating him hard, his last season easily puts him in top 50 imo.

What are we supposed to do here?

"Derrick White is ranked 93rd?? He's much closer to 87th!!!"

It’s funny all these guys Beasley Wiggins ball sexton d Russell’s hield Barnes Derrick white d Murray teams want to unload for Ben Simmons.

I think Simmons will land around 30-35 on the list even being at his low point in trade value

ranking players after the all star level is very hard amd situational , and the differences are small in general

a gap between a top 50 and top 80 player can be a lot smaller than between top 5 and top 20 players

somethingh to keep in mind

Are they going to include Draymond Green as a top 50 player?

30 nba teams. Draymond is golden state 2nd or 3rd best player (iffy on klay returning to his normal self)

So a good teams 2nd best player should be in the top 50 overall for nba ranking

Don't post pictures of that hack.

Basically comes down to the role, coach and your teammates more than anything when you are 4th or lower option on the team for that next 100 or so players.

I came here to see how low Demar would be ranked. He became the yearly lowball player. Maybe he's not even in the top 100 lol.

I'm kinda curious about how Knicks fans feel about Kemba and Fournier at #69 and #91.

I remember when Zach Lowe used to do SI's top 100. It was an exhaustive project with pretty decent little breakdowns on each player. It was a good way to learn a bit about guys you hadn't watched much in the prior season.

Lists like this are whatever. Low level click-bait (never as bad as ESPN's which is so bad it should be banned from NBA fandom) at worst, and worth a few minutes of time during the doldrums of the late offseason. I'm reading some of these blurbs and wondering if whoever wrote it actually knows much about the player. But it's not offensively bad or anything.

I think we all know how pointless rankings can be the further you go down the list. I like Seth Parthnow's version at the athletic, where he puts players into tiers. That makes more sense to me. A ranked list like SI's just gets pretty silly and obnoxious when subjectively equal players get ranked 20 spots apart, making it seem like one is on a whole other level. Is Harrison Barnes (67) 28 spots "better" than Jonathan Isaac (95)? Am I supposed to care whether Norman Powell is 55 or 99 (he's 92 I guess). Maybe the ranking numbers makes for easier reading but it also makes for very silly implied arguments.

There's no such thing as a good top 100.

He's not on the list of snubs, so I think he's safely in the top 50. Unless SI's writers have decided he's worse than Blake, Aldridge, Oladipo, Drummond, and other injured/washed/discarded players.

Likely very little thought put into this. Unless someone was drawing names out of a hat to make this list

I wouldn't be shocked to see OG jump into the top 50 after this season.

Damn I don’t think Anthony Edwards is better than any of the people he’s ahead of yet

We went years barely having 1 guy be ranked on any top 100 lol. Now we potentially have 4+
