Was Prime Wade same tier as Prime Kobe or tier below?

Was Peak/Prime Wade same tier as Peak/Prime Kobe or tier below?

I am not talking about longetivity or career but rather at their best...

Was Wade from 2008, 2009 any worse or tier below than Kobe at his best?

Well, what two years was Kobe at his best to compare? I have Wade under Kobe at their respective bests. Kobe was scoring like crazy at one point for the time.

I have their primes as the same tier, but Wade just a hair better. His prime was much shorter lived than Kobe’s though.

Longevity is what separates the two. If Wade stayed healthy we'd be having a real debate about who the #2 sg of all time was. Kobe has never had a series like Wade did in 06 against the mavs in the finals. Which shows you how amazing peak Wade was. Sadly injuries chopped off a ton of his prime and longevity but he was definitely right there with Kobe at his peak.

I have to strongly agree with the majority here. I thought 2008/2009 wade was the best player in the nba (better than bron)

Peak for peak Wade is only second to MJ as a sg. But Kobe has longevity in his favor.

D-Wade peaked higher than Kobe as a defender and all-round player. Kobe is the better scorer, and it's not by much.

people need to remember the difference between prime and peak

PEAK wade, for sure has an argument over PEAK kobe

but definitely not PRIME wade over PRIME kobe

Peak Wade is comfortably better than Kobe.

Kobe does not stack up well against other all time greats in peak matchups.

I think prime wade and prime Kobe were the same, but I like Kobe's more consistent jumper. I think that makes him a more seamless fit more places, even if Wade was a little more dominant. At their peak I think Wade was a little better.
