So Bridges is slightly underpaid, Shamet feels like a definite over-the-market price, and meanwhile Ayton is very unhappy...

I was higher on Shamet his Rookie year but since then I feel like he's regressed.

Feel like Shamet has been living off his rookie season where people think he's some great player. While he does provide decent 3 point shooting, he leaves you undersized defensively and doesn't provide much else offensively.

Wow. Ayton or no Ayton, Shamet has no business getting this type of deal. He’s had a chance to make an impact on 3 different playoff teams & so far…that’s translated to 5 PPG in the postseason.
More power to him but sheesh. Not a fan of this deal.

I actually don't mind holding off on Ayton because I think the league is headed towards Giannis/Lebron type players. You need to be able to guard guards to be able to force mismatches, I have my doubts about him in a couple years.
With that said, Shamet at 11 years a year for 4 years is confusing right now? Why? Hes undersized relative to where the league is headed? If you're gonna pick a direction as a Suns organization... then choose...
The cap is going to adjust and this won't be a big deal. I think Shamet will be solid this year. In 3 years? Meh.

I know Shamet shoots a decent percentage from 3 overall but he's one of those guys that other teams just leave wide open in the playoffs and he can't consistently make them pay for it.

Cameron Payne was much better last season and got pennies in comparison. Shamet is an ok player but that is a crazy pay day for him. I guess they felt like if Monty really likes him game and plans on giving him a big role it might be cheaper to extend him now.
