Will the Warriors win the West with a healthy Klay?
If Klay is near 90% of his 2019 form, will the Warriors win the West?

No, whether he's 90% or 10%.
There are better teams in the West.

Yes of course assuming Steph and Draymond are healthy as well. Those three guys just have such high basketball IQs and know how to play the game that they'll easily beat other teams that maybe have a similar talent level.

Their young guys need to produce in a hurry for that to happen.
GSW will be good and has a chance to win any series but there are a lot of questions about this team.

They might make it to the playoffs with Thompson.

Still have a healthy Nuggets as the most complete and best team in the West. If AD can rediscover his bubble shooting touch and Lakers commit to 4-out lineups with Westbrook then they're a contender as well. I'd probably have GSW bunched in with Phoenix and Utah after that

Warriors will not win the west... but at the end of the season if Klay is healthy (big IF) they are the team no one wants in the first round. I still think they are a 4-5 seed.

They were actually fairly competitive in a finals game with a Klay at less than 100% 2 seasons ago. Chances of a 90% Klay this season are probably not all that high though.

No team has cohesion and chemistry like the Warriors. Lakers will find their groove but they’re still awkward together from a fit standpoint.

These teams have their own issues. The Nuggets don’t have Murray all season. The Clippers don’t have Kawhi all season. The Jazz I agree with and they should win the West. The Lakers will get rolling as well so long as Bron and AD are on the court.
I see the Warriors as a very dangerous 4-6 seed (possibly higher) if they have everyone entering the post season (Klay still has a little ways to go and it will be a slow buildup once he’s back). Their bench is no longer a crew that will just be blowing all the leads Curry and the starters put together as was the case last season. And it’s going to become extremely potent once Jordan Poole is added to it. They are also positioned to make a trade if they want to.

1st seed.
So many sticking their heads in the sand saying it cannot be true as if in denial. There are lots of questions about this team? Which teams don't? Aside from probably the Bucks all the other teams have questions too. They have Steph, they have Draymond, and if they have a healthy Klay there should be no questions.

The team looks good now. But with Klay, Kuminga, and Wiseman coming back from injury by the beginning of next year... that's a lot more talent to be added.

Re: Will the Warriors win the West with a healthy Klay?
Warriors have a better supporting cast compared to the last 2 seasons.
People laugh at how their offseason additions were minimum guys like Iguodala, Bjelica and Porter Jr. but sometimes you don't need to add superstars to make a huge difference on your team.
Warriors needed shooters who can hit open shots, and vet experience. They added that now. Last season, the team could get open shots but couldn't make them aside from Steph. This season, Porter Jr and Bjelica can just stand in the corner and hitting an open 3 makes a world of a difference. On top of that, both guys fit in the system perfectly because they know how to move the ball around. On other teams both Porter Jr and Bjelica couldn't excel due to either injuries or they weren't in the right system, but in Kerr's offense they're perfect.
Not to mention Iguodala is back. Obviously not a scorer, but he adds that experience the team lacked off the bench the past 2 seasons--he knows the system like the back of his hand and serves as the vet playmaker.
Then there's the young guys who are getting better. Jordan Poole is better this year by default simply because he has more experience now.
So much better compared to last season when Steph played with an injured G-League team with rarely any experience, Kelly Oubre Jr. providing nothing on offense, and Steph himself getting injured with his tailbone injury (GSW would have at least been 5th or 6th seed if Steph wasn't hurt.)
All in all, there's definitely Top 3 seed potential from Golden State, even without Klay. The team is deeper and more experienced and Steph isn't slowing down. That's all I'll say for now and it will be interesting to bump this thread midseason and then after the regular season. See you guys then.

The Nuggets would need a fully healthy Murray to fall into that category, and I think it's more than fair to have reservations about the Jazz in the playoffs at this point. The only teams I'd say are definitively better than the Warriors right now are the Suns and Lakers if they manage to figure out their rotations and gel.

He said Suns, not Clippers. Someone edit and changed it for some reason.
