Lillard is working his way out of Portland

Post#1 » by Mickey8 » Mon Nov 1, 2021 1:56 am

Look at his empathic play at the start of the season, while I am not the fan of his by any means, its obvious that he's not trying his best this season, he will seek for the trade before the trade deadline, I can bet anyone on these boards.

Actually a lot of players who have become dependent on the whistle are struggling. Lillard loved to draw fouls by flopping his way to the line. Like others, he will have to figure it out but it's definitely not an effort thing so I'd put away the tin foil hat here.

He’s kinda painted himself in the corner in that regard. If he was trying to get out we’d be getting all kinds of cryptic messages and stories about him liking social media posts about him leaving. We’ll just have to wait until next offseason to do it all over again.

Word around the RealGM block is that he may still be going through some abdominal pains carrying over from the Olympics, but your best bet is to hear how his all around play is looking from some PDX fans on here. From what I’ve gathered is that he’s looking as engaged as ever but that he’s in the midst of a shooting slump as well.

Josh Lloyd (locked on fantasy basketball) says that he has a source in the Blazers org who said Lillard turned down offseason surgery on the abdominal injury. Take that for what you will, I like his podcast, I have no idea if he is reliable as a source.

If he wanted out all he had to do was say the word. He wouldn't need to try and sabotage his team's season by half assing it on the court. I don't think he wants out.

Not sure what word you were looking for? Pathetic? Apathetic?

Empathic would make him more in tune and aligned with his team / the game. Which doesn’t gel with him working his way out.

Let me jump in here before any other Knick fans do..... I don't want him in NY. It will cost the team a lot of great pieces, and it isn't worth it for a max cat on the wrong side of 30. Knicks have something great brewing, and a few young players that could be valuable to the franchise for the next 10 years if they play their cards right. Knicks fans need to stop star phucking and let this guy go somewhere else to chase a ring.

He's just out of rhythm. Same with Beal. Both will get back to normal soon

feel lillard is making excuses for himself. maybe he will fault himself for not winning and join a superteam.
cj is playing better why not pair with dpoy simmons?

Players just need to get the surgery. Working their way through it almost never works. Especially with abdominal issues.

One of the Blazers best reporters asked Dame about any injuries and he said he’s good. Haven’t heard any of the abdominal stuff locally. Could be true I guess, but if it is it’s not known widely here.

It’s just a bad shooting slump from what we can see. People need to pump the brakes on the 5/6 games into a season hot takes.

Portland should just trade for Simmons. They got scorers but no defense, it been the same story for years. He's 31 not getting any better.
