So it wasn't Kyrie's fault after all.

Watching the Celtics in late game situations the past few years has been infuriating. Smart is right. I was hoping that a new coach would help shift that dynamic, but alas.

Well their offense has been bad, but their defense has been worse. They have a lot of cleaning up to do on and off the court it seems. It's been a rough 16 months for these guys.

Smart is smawt

I feel like him and Rozier do say something about Boston's scheme. How do they plan to keep other talented players in the loop? Tatum and Brown damn near smuggle the ball.

Its quite obvious so don't really blame him for saying it.

True, but their head coach seems as though he is in way over his head.

Just like with Embiid, saying it in public is just not helpful to anyone

Tatum seems to play like this is the 00's. They need to choose between him and Brown imo.

Karate Diop has been saying this for years... Tatum and (especially) Brown are not natural playmakers, their instincts are to shoot first, second and third and the assist they do get are from monopolizing the ball. Neither player makes the extra pass to keep their team's offense humming, and neither team is able to create something out of nothing for someone else...

The 2 Jays are great shooters.

Not sure they do anything else all that well tho.

It's time we came to terms with what Tatum/Brown are. They're ball dominant , good efficiency blackholes that aren't nearly as good on defense as their reputations. They're both young and can improve their skills but their BBall-IQ needs drastic help.

They can't lead to deep into the playoffs and definitely cannot carry you to a title without a huge amount of additional help. Al Horford was the only player tonight that didn't fold under pressure and made smart plays. Tatum and Brown just shotjacked and took low-IQ fouls when they were over the limit.

It's no wonder the addition of another selfish immature shotjacker (kyrie) caused such a meltdown in Boston. The entire team is centered around two of them. Tatum needs to be a second option and Brown should have been traded for a legit star.

Smart thinks he's Kobe Bryant in his prime but better in the worst possible way.

He's just a horrible team mate.

He doesn't give a **** about Tatum or Brown passing the ball, he just wants it so he can jack up more shots at at his blistering 25% on a mere 10 FGA per game.

He needs more in his mind, he's got more bricks setting records to set. (see the lowest 3 point % for anyone who's ever attemped more than a small amount of 3s, ect.).

It has always been one bad sign after another, from him and Tatum being the only players that liked Kyrie to him punching a fan in the stands in college, to him taking cheap shots in games of others players, to him throwing a hissy fit last playoffs and blaming everyone but himself and Jaylen Brown having to take the leadership position to tell him to STFU we need to actual play as a team it's the playoffs and there's not time for this, from him losing his temper and punching glass and injuring himself.

This is just yet another thing from Smart. The most ironically named player in the NBA.
