I think Ben Simmons just rage quit

So im going to compare this to video games.
Ben was a disaster in the playoffs...despite what you can do or how many stats you get...some people choke when it really matters or just lack the overall skill. Same goes for video games.
In video games you will get people that once the receive criticism they give up and say fine try to win without me...
I think thats what Ben tried to pull...He rage quit and rolled the dice that the 76ers would be worse without him...
But the jokes on him the 76ers are smashing it...they are playing well...
So rip to Ben. Reported. GG EZ. Enjoy the ban.

A team is always going to look better when they play 5 on 5 instead of 4 on 5 on offense.

Philly would not have even made it out of the 1st Round without Ben's 14.8 points, 10.2 rebounds, 9.2 assists. .640 field shooting vs. Washington 2021.
In fact Boston swept Philly the previous year, because Ben didn't play....
And the reason why Philly never won the championship is because Embiid shot .370 in the 7-game series vs. Toronto 2019, and-
Game 6:
Simmons 21 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 0 turnovers
Embiid 17 points, 5-14 field, 12 rebounds, 5 turnovers
Game 7:
Simmons 13 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 blocks

People like me been saying for 4 years the sixers are better without bum simmons. 4 years Ive been ridiculed. Its so obvious its painful
How can anyone be dumb enough to not realize playing 4v5 is bad?
Our defense is just **** fine without him too. His defense is and always was over rated

Yes indeed. And further, the amount of insistence by most Philly fans that Embiid and Simmons were a good fit (before the playoff fiasco last season) was always mystifying to me. It was BLATANTLY obvious that Simmons should have been moved....for years.

It may be different in the playoffs but at this stage I just want him to be on the sixers for the full year and not come back at all.

Rebel, please don't encourage this obviously disingenuous argument that homeboy keeps repeating on here. It's not proving anything to point out that Simmons was solid against the league's worst PO team (by far) and then somehow ignore that he was then bloody awful against an okay ATL team that had no one who could guard him. Or giving credence to an argument that lists the two okay games Simmons had against TOR but not the multiple games where he posted like 6/8/4 lines (or even just cites his overall obviously disappointing averages for the whole series, 11/7/5). You're also not getting anywhere with an argument that points out that Embiid had a couple bad PO games 3 seasons ago--and not pointing out that he's averaged an efficient 30/13/3 in the last couple series the Sixers lost.
Sure, Simmons was scapegoated and didn't singlehandedly lose those Hawks games. But there is nothing less reasonable or respectable than using that fact to continually sneak in some horse-ish claim that Simmons has actually been a perfectly great PO performer who's consistently outplayed Embiid.

It was an extremely disingenuous (or perhaps just misinformed) take on the Raps/Sixers series. Embiid was our best player and had one of the GOAT defensive playoff series. We were +89 with Joel on the court vs -16 with Ben. Not only that but using FG% to remove the weight of his FT-heavy scoring load is bologna.
Also, Toronto designed their whole defensive scheme around stopping Embiid. So when he played, the other guys were much more likely to get open looks.

I don't know why you keep repeating this bs. Whoever guarded Simmons doubled off of him due to his lack of a jumper and smothered Embiid. Also look at the last shot, Joel contested it the best he could and who was the one who gave up? That bum Simmons!

It's mob mentality. Something or someone becomes unpopular in the mainstream media and everyone just casually follows along. Like it or not, Ben is a relentless finisher with solid defensive tendencies.
