Horford, Smart and Langford with a pick and a swap could get it done. They could release Horford, as they don't really need him and they likely won't pick up his option.

I don't think Jaylen or Jayson are being traded in any scenario for Ben.

As long as the trade would be Brown for Simmons + picks or other stuff, I think it could workout for both teams. Celtics desperately need a playmaker while the Sixers desperately need a closer.

Although I do think the Celtics can get what they need a lot cheaper from somewhere else, which let's them keep Brown. Even going after a Rubio helps the Celtics.

Simmons is better than Brown.

Philly isn't moving Sim/ons for Smart & Langford. Heck, I'm a Celtics fan and don't even want to see Smart and Langford on the floor most of the time.

76ers want payback to Celtics for taking Tatum while 76ers take broken Fultz.

I'm not necessarily against Boston going after Simmons, but if they were to trade Brown for him, that would go down as the worst trade in the history of all major sports.
Maybe Smart and another player or two (and a future pick) might be OK, but Brown shouldn't even be in any kind of converstation at all.

I think its reasonable to believe Boston and Philly have talked about Simmons. I imagine almost every team has talked to Philly about Simmons.

No idea if Brown would be on the table or not. Remember Philly can add value too, not just Boston.

But finally, Horford, Smart, a first and a swap is not an offer likely to interest Philly at all. Deals have to make sense for both teams.

The Celtics themselves have already been involved in multiple trades far worse than that would be lol.

Boston has to split Tatum/Brown and Sixers must trade Simmons.

Boston will def play hardball with Simmons value being dirt currently.

The only deal the Celtics put on the table has to be Horford, Smart, Pritchard + a ton of picks + swaps to get this done... Sixers probably decline.

Sixers have looked good without Simmons. They need to right player(s) and/or picks in return. Brown might fit that description.

And all I’ve seen is terrible offers that do not include Brown in response.
