I thought it might be relatively serious. It was a weird how he just didn’t come out for second half despite no obvious injury. When they said knee, I was hoping he banged knees or something.

Sexton was already a bit polarizing, even more now.

He wasn’t playing well this year but I’m sure part of that was the fact he was playing hobbled. Sucks to see regardless.

That leaves 4 of our top 8 rotation guys - Love, Sexton, Lauri, Okoro - out for various reasons. Assuming we go with Rubio, Garland, Wade, Mobley, Allen in the starting lineup, with Windler, Cedi, Stevens (barf), and then who knows who else off the bench. This short rotation is forcing Mobley to play more minutes than I’d like.

They wanted to trade him but never did. Good luck with that now Cavs.

From a Cavs standpoint, this doesnt really hurt them. They're 7-4 in spite of Sexton, not because of him. He has been really bad this year. 16/3/2 on 52 TS% and still not being a good defensive player.

I guess it hurts them from a depth standpoint because they were already weak there with all the other guys missing time. But ya if he comes back this year, I would think they would just move him as a 6th man scoring role. I think Rubio in the starting spot would be a better fit.

I feel bad for him but ultimately I think this season might be beneficial for the Cavs. He might be inking something like a 5 yr $80M deal this summer when the fear was he’d be asking for $120M+

Playing hard and being a willing and active defender is not without value ... but hopefully Isaac Okoro is back soon.

I don't think it will hurt the Cavs too much. Rubio seems like a better fit, just need to make sure they have a backup pg

Cavs starting lineup will probably be better now tbh. Not their overall team, as he’s obviously a great scorer, but he’s a ballstopper who limits Garland’s ability to facilitate in that starting lineup.

Him and me both, gotta go have surgery on mine next week.
