The only player in the NBA that can guard Durant is draymond Green.

KD in the 3rd is 0-8 in the 3rd and is scared to shoot against Green.

GSW has a lot of defensive options--they're the #1 defensive team for a reason.

They can also throw Andre Iguodala and Andrew Wiggins' length at him, too. Then there's hyper-athletic Jonathon Kuminga, and even Gary Payton II at 6'3" benefits from KD trying to face up because GPII can use his leaping ability to contest the shot (by covering his face on the jump shot, obviously can't reach the apex of KD's long wingspan.)

Small sample size. Not even KD can guard KD.

Don't be surprised when a team goes cold against the best defensive team in the league. lol.

And even if it's a shoot out where players on both teams are making shots... Steph is a pretty good shooter. Klay is a pretty good shooter when he's back, too. And a bunch of role players like Wiggins, Bjelica, Poole, Porter Jr, D.Lee, etc. who all love to shoot and enjoy getting wide open shots in Kerr's motion offense.

No he cannot, however Draymond is elite at nearly aspect of defense. Not enough know his man defense and even his rim defense are also top tier. His defensive skillset should have a place in all time conversations.

Historically this isnt true actually. Iggy does a much better job. Draymond has gotten fried by Kd alot in the past.

I thought so too. He has had some run ins with some of the smaller bulldog defender types like Tucker and CP3. KD still scored very efficiently but it wasn't as easy as he normally makes it look.

The only person who can lockdown KD is KD himself, if he has an off shooting night. Draymond couldn't guard KD if KD was playing on one leg. Not a knock on Draymond...KD is as close to unguardable as it gets in today's NBA.

No one can ever completely lock down KD but I hope this shuts up the haters that said Draymond was washed up just because he chilled two seasons ago in a tank year. This is what it looks like when Dray and Steph ramp up their intensity.

not KD. he's one tier above everyone else. held to a higher standard.

It's hard to base anything on the past though, mainly because as good as KD is he's not as quick as he used to be. Dray was with him on a lot of his shots tonight.

I missed the game. When I saw kds stats, I was wondering did dray shut him down but I didn't see one comment about it in the game thread so I figured not

Warriors also used GP2 on KD and he did a good job. Wiggins and Kuminga athletically can match up with any wing.

Nobody can guard KD. He had a bad game. Missed a lot of shots he usually makes. It happens.

Green isn't the only player that can guard Durant.
